I’m a huge fan of your channel and find it super informative. I really appreciate how you test optics and gear from a very unbiased standpoint and treat all products on a equal playing field and let them prove themselves to be reliable and durable. I watch your channel a lot before making purchases to ensure I make an informed decision!
Definitely like this one and something I work on a lot especially with my riffle, like how you switch it up with so many different variations and use of a shot timer, especially if we're planning on getting better.
I Shoot both eyes open, right eye dominant, right handed. When I shoot right to left I'm quicker and a bit more precise. I attribute this to my non dominant eye picking up the next target target quicker and not having to "come out of, or off the scope" with dominant eye. So given a choice, I will shoot right to left. Try it.
I do this one fairly often. I tend to shoot it about 25 yards, because that target presentation is more representative of a real-world threat in my area.
Great point on eye-in-optic vs eye-leads-optic. Those who find it blasphemy to keep the eye in the optic should be able to experiment with both methods and prove to themselves which is better! I've been working on this with pistol in dry fire and thus far it's been at fixed distance, no variation to test the distance variable.
Do you have a video on proper rifle control? As far as controlling the muzzle and keeping it on target? I can control it pretty good (I think) but I'm not sure if I understand what the rifle wants to do vs what I want it to do.
The drills are really only a few minutes of the video; The entire video is basically about the philosophy of these drills-- which is what I like even more.
I find myself, especially when doing multiple round transitions to keep both eyes open of course, but my right (dominant) eye in the scope or dot, more so especially at close rang and narrower transitions, only really drive my head then riffle when I'm transitioning between wider distances like 15-20 yards apart and beyond. Is that necessarily a bad thing? Of course when driving a pistol unless really close and narrow I always drive my head then bring the pistol to my eyes.
Hey brother, I am looking to do some pistol/carbine training that is duty orientated. Do you put on classes and if you do where can I see the schedule and pricing?
stop pr1@k teasing us wear are all the new optics reviews were all checking for multiple times daily, especially the new holosun micro and sub micro hotness, am i the only 1 counting down the days, any clues of time 4 release .
