Dear youtube dont worry hes just trying to help our environment by quickly emptying the oxygen tanks to put more oxygen back into the air to make up for all the trees being taken down
Yo Edwin I'm a welder and I deal with those kinds of tanks every day and when I was in school my welding instructor told us of a time he saw one of those tanks fall over and the valve got knocked off and it took off like a rocket and went through 2 entire buildings and I think a car to. Be careful man you don't know just the dangers you are playing with.
in high school my welding teacher , told us the same story … he even showed us a old osha vid were a guy struck an arch on a acetylene tank ( disaster ) … when Edwin hit the protective cap for the valve on that tank , then proceeded to flip it around and stand it up , i cringed ( what if the valve is compromised and blows off , as he’s handling it 😣… your rite , our guy has to be super careful with these tanks ..
Got a friend who's a steel fixer who was on some scaffolding and watched an oxy cylinder fall down about 6 floors onto the ground. He said the cylinder was intact but was actually bulging bending and actually deforming under the stresses, and now lying right at the bottom of the scaffolding they were all standing on! Apparently everyone froze awaiting the inevitable bedlam that was to follow but from out of somewhere on the ground floor of the building, a worker rushed out,in my pals words was," a giant fat bastard" picked up the bottle onto his shoulder like it was nothing, ran across the courtyard, heaved it into a skip and then scarpered. The bottle erupted about 30 seconds later and he said the skip contained and directed most of the blast but it still peeled it open right down one side and the back blew clean off leaving just one side and the front and blew everything else in the skip all over the site damaging vehicles ,equipment and materials, fortunately no one was injured.

I’m so happy that your Grandpa is also a scientist. He inspired you men to follow in his footsteps. Kind Thanks Doctors! Many Blessings! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
These videos are so fun to watch, especially when the oxygen ignites and takes off. You know what might make them even better? If you brought a rest to shoot from, and set up a metal target down range so you can test the accuracy of the guns, and tape a flare to the back of the tanks so they keep burning once you hit them 😊
@@drasiritzbir Thank you for point that out so I didn't have to! Many times I've made that point to someone, I'd bet them I was right, oxygen does not burn and they were wrong claiming it did. I'd say I can prove it, make a big deal out about if I was wrong it could be dangerous for all of us, borrow a cigarette lighter and strike it, hold up the lit lighter and say see, we all didn't parish in the burning oxygen!
@@drasiritzbir the point is your explanation does not add up, cause the perfect circular cut and the metallic cutting edge. If it is oxidizing iron then the entry point would brittle and cracked looking.
Edwin, those oxygen tank videos are the best, especially when they catch on fire and go blasting off all over the place. Thankfully you are at a safe distance and don't get hurt. Keep them up!!!!!
FMJ is full metal jacket. Also would you believe FMJ(lead core bullet with copper jacket) is basic American target ammo lol not everyone is a COD nerd. We just like shooting shit and watch it go boom. (Comment was for Yuri Fedorov)
@@stoneygamer4203 I never played shooter games, I spent my years with the real thing. Besides, kids these days are too fast for an old man like me. I would like to know what type the .308 bullet was. I assumed it was standard FMJ (yes, lead core with copper jacket). The 7mm is in the same class and may have been a little faster than the .308 even. So in my estimation it might have had an even chance to penetrate with a equal bullet.
We love the oxygen tanks. Dangerous. There is another channel that just bought a high speed camera. 1 million frames a second. It’s amazing and would be awesome recording those tanks super slow motion bullets going into tank.
Exactly. Steel burns really well when given enough oxygen. Just look at how steel wool behaves when ignited. The O2 is oxidizing the hell out of the hot steel letting the steel burn until the huge amount of cold liquid oxygen takes all the heat away and the fire goes it. Fun to watch.
I work in the industry that certifies these tanks, some of them actually get shot (upon manufacture testing) with various rounds to verify they can withstand impacts. These tanks if properly cared for can be serviced for a LONG time. The oldest tank I've retested that passed was made in 1906. Well over a hundred years of service life.
I noticed that the 8x57 Mauser was loaded with soft point bullets. It has at least as much power as .308/7.62x51 & with FMJ bullets should have popped that canister like bubble gum.
Always look forward to seeing your videos. I sure would like to see you shoot one with a 30-06 for comparison. I think it would do the job. Even if you used the lesser power for the M1 rifle
@@rsmith3062 This guy's grandfather appears to be a very well heeled gentleman..... The most impressive weaponry my grandfather had left over from his bootlegger days was a Remington Model 8 chambered in .35 Rem and a Thompson Submachine Gun.
My stepdad was a technician for Augusta Health and he use to set up oxygen tanks for people and he’d deliver them to the fire department. I seen plenty of sizes for Oxygen tanks, I even had the pleasure of holding one while oxygen was flowing out and I mean it was powerful but fun. (Sorry i know that was random but just brought back memories) my stepdad had to retire back in 2019 cause he got arthritis in his back
I'd absolutely take one of those tanks with the 3" burned hole in for a refill just for the reaction of the weld shop employees, it would be a hoot. Give them a card with the RU-vid channel, new subscribers!
The 7.62 has more power than a 556 round (similar to a .223). You also need an ignition source with a flammable agent like gasoline to be amplified by the oxygen.
@EdwinSarkissian *_👉👉This is mine and my son's favorite RU-vidr! We've been watching you for years now and never get bored with the content you produce! Thank you so much for all your hard work_* 🔫 💯
I love watching science in action. Blowing stuff up is great entertainment. BTW, Oxygen is not flammable by itself. If you want huge explosions add some fuel to the fire. 👍
Always look forward to your science lesson. And we'll worth the wait. Today I learnt always bring electric bikes when shooting far away. Oh and big guns.
The 8mm would have penetrated if an FMJ round was used. Those soft points will never achieve the same penetration, plus they are loaded lighter than a military load would be.
I know you guys probably don’t know this but you do it occasionally without noticing. If jasper stands further back, zooms in on Edwin and keeps the targets in frame. The change in focal length creates of much better image for us the viewer so we can see the shooting and the target at the same time. As compared to what you normally do and we can see Edwin and tiny oxygen tanks.. make sense?
