Rift Valley Institute Aweil Drama Performance 

From 23-25 April 2018, the Rift Valley Institute held a meeting in Aweil looking at the future of Chiefship in South Sudan, under the South Sudan Customary Authorities Project. The meeting was conducted in collaboration with Likikiri Collective, with support from the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting brought together chiefs and youth and women representatives from Aweil, Wau, Gogrial and Yirol.
To stimulate discussion at the meeting, Likikiri Collective dramatized key themes from research conducted by Dr Nicki Kindersley and Joseph Diing Majok in August 2017 on war, famine and chiefship in Northern Bahr El Ghazal.
