Hi again, watching it again because I missed the beginning live last night. Speaking of muscle memory, that IS the sole reason why I have switched to the Eurorack from working inside the computer when my eye sight started to worsen some years ago. People ask me how the hell as a legally blind person I can manage a modular setup. Coming from an acoustic instrumentalist background, modular makes it possible to actually just feel your way and build a muscle memory! Thanks again guys!
Good stuff as usual. I'm stoked to see these mags coming out. I actually won a copy of Arius Blazes 2lp from signing up for a Waveshaper subscription! Open Source looks excellent, I'll be looking for that as well, hopefully Robotspeak will have them. Cheers!
Nice show today. In consideration of a future offering, I'd love to have you interview Caterina Barbieri and have her walk through her modular set-up. If you haven't already, have a listen to her performance on the Ableton Loop concert series. She does so much with so little. She's a real talent.
Def shoutout to Tony and Make Noise for putting attenuators/attenuverters on ALLLLMOST every CV input on their modules. Going from DPO to Endorphin.es Furthurrr.. man! I sure miss the Make Noise way of doing things.
I've now seen a few of these vids but I'm wondering: Where can I find audio only versions of these and your other longer, interview style vids? I like to listen while I'm on the move but many youtube to mp3 convertors don't work well or reliably.
Thanks!! And yeah absolutely. A little bit more now as QPAS, and to some degree, Morphagene, has gotten me to play with stereo more. It all kind of depends on the patch and the signal flow (for example, the sends on my 1402 are Mono->Stereo so some of the image gets lost in the fx if using send/return config). I've used a single optomix in the past do some stereo (mult source to both inputs, take each channel's individual outs). Overall though, I have 2x OM simply because I prefer their tonality over VCAs and I usually am blending 4 different sources in a patch.
I can't live stream with a mic and pop shield right in front of my face. The audio "improving" according to the chat half way through moves to the iMac built in mic, which is even further away. I know how mics work.
