This was my favorite Rig Rundown EVER. What a GREAT human being. So humble and kind. So talented. Playing is so fluid and his guitars, pedals and amps all make perfect sense. John Bolinger was clearly in awe of Wariner's chops. And John is such a warm, genuine guy too. MAD PROPS!!! Well done. Bravo

Many country guitarists have seem to gone under a lot of radar and they were/are really over the top or even with the top players others think of. Glen Campbell, Roy Clark and Jerry Reed were some of the very best ever. Vince Gill, Brad Paisley and even Keith Urban are others as well.

My dad used to own a sewing machine shop in Murfreesboro, TN. One day a guy came in to buy a machine, and my dad looked up when the guy said hello. He found himself face to face with Steve Wariner himself.

One of six that Chet deemed to be such. What's awesome to me is how incredibly humble he comes across. I think when it all comes down to it we're all just a bunch of really enthusiastic nerds and he has that in spades and I mean it as the highest possible compliment. The dude is the real deal.

I am impressed that finally Premier Guitar has a interview with a great player like Steve Warner . Never did I think that an event like this would be done. Rock and Metal players and their skills , all are good . But a player like Steve Warner and the likes of the country players , are more than top notch . Especially giving a honorary title by Chet Atkins . These old guys for my love of music rock as good and better than anyone alive today .

After hearing this pick-up combination, I knew I had to put these pickups (including coil-split functionality) into my 2018 Electromatic Jet. Well, there was one thing Steve W. left out which is important to me and therefore quite disappointing. While I can use the individual volume controls to sought the issue, I prefer to leave individual volumes on 'full' as there is no bleed circuit on the these volume pots and I don't want to lose any brightness by turning down volumes. The issue is the neck pickup has significantly higher output than the bridge pick-up, switching from neck to bridge means having to compensate with a boost pedal - not just when switching to single coil mode as mentioned by Steve W. I love the Duo-tron. Should have also put one in the bridge instead.

BB King's Gibson semi-hollow body doesn't have f-holes painted on it - why paint them on? Other than that, and the price, I want that Steve Wariner Gretsch, although it wouldn't make me play like him. It even has jumbo frets, when most custom shop guitars seem to be using the tall-narrow frets now - jumbos just make it feel better to play for me (and Steve). Cheers!

Great conversation with a real pro! That new Gretsch looks fantastic. All those guitars sounded great even with a little too much chorus and delay on, but I just don’t get into the fetishized worship of 1950’s and early 60’s Fender guitars. I would love to hear one of these sit downs with someone with so many vintage instruments do an A/B with something like a Fender American original reissue or one of their Vintera style Mexican. I suspect we really wouldn’t be able to hear a difference with so many great vintage voiced pickups made now.
