Back in 2008, while Drilling for Lewis Petro in Encinal Texas, a so called “safety man” showed up in the rig floor demanding I wear gloves while handling the Brake tripping in, I run him off the floor and he went to my Toolpusher and told him what I had done, Toolpusher then run him off the location. He didn’t know why we run him off but he never mentioned it to his office. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Correction stupidest. You can Okie engineer a spinning chain with a snatchblock. Or may fix the pipe sinner hanging there on the rigs' rotary side of the draw works. What think now hoss.
What happened where is pipe spinner?? Why you the Rig Manager not aware of that the non availability of pipe spinner due to spare parts or other constain ! Unnessary humiliation of man power of the Rig!!
@@utpalsengupta6872lmfao I had an st80 (iron rough neck) break down and then the air spinners clapped out half way in the hole. Stuff breaks, if you don't know that then you haven't worked on rigs for very long
Cathead use for torque up the joint nd their is no hydraulic roughneck on rig as per contract... We use pipe spinner ,but it's chain was broken ,so till it ll not fix ,ll use chain tong....man power...

Oulala, guys ! Never ever grease a pipe by the box when it is on the well. The pipe dope can go through the DP. #DROP On of them didn't wear gloves. For the pipe spinner I understand because mine is actually broken down also 😆
A 2000hp SCR top drive rig and they didn't have a PM program, critical spare parts, and nobody knew how to throw a chain? The tool push needs to be fired.
The pipe spinner is hanging from a line on the rotary side of the draw works. The spinner is either broke or, them are idiots showing how tough they are. Running around in circles is about all they are accomplishing any way. Who is the guy running back and forth with the camera.
They should have been able to bite a tong and spin the rotary to disconnect the pipe. Not sure why they didn’t do that. However, when putting a new pipe in you have to rotate the rotary backwards, this risks back spinning a pipe down below and dropping your pipe in the well , which you have to “fish” out later. This applies to a table rotary,
@@mayankbarot775 When I worked the West Texas patch we had spares to fix or replace the spinning chain. Let me guess someone let the chain get wrapped around the rotary table and broke it?
Finally worked my way up to Safety Associate...I would write up Every person on that rig floor,and if the rig manager /Pusher was there he would also get written up.
Lmfao no one cares what you'd do, you probably get slapped in the face behind the mud shack messing with a crew that is that far out in the sticks. And then your mouth would be up on the floor chain tonging that pipe in the hole. I've seen a lot safety guys think they're real smart untill you walk off the floor and change out then they know they're the new hand.
In India its different...The slow work the more operating per Day rate earning for the contractor...otherwise during interlocation movement the contractor doesn't get any operating day rate....They only get lumpsum amount just for interlocation movement....So they start movement and rig up very very fast and slow it down once drilling starts...The rates here in India are not good
