Here is a tip to help your hookup ratio when trolling ballyhoo for Wahoo. Rather than just crimping a loop around the eye of the hook we run the cable around the shank of the hook then back through the eye. This puts more force on the tip of the hook when a fish strikes, thereby helping to set the hook better. This can also be used when trolling for other species like Mahi Mahi and Tuna as well as when bottom fishing.
