*I bought these and used them at the river where I get snags often they have done a **enjoyable.fishing** recommend great job of not breaking along with some strong line I purchased as well. They are super durable and easy to use.*
Hey Capt Mike! I'm kind of a novice on fishing out here in the Keys, but I have learned SO MUCH from watching your videos. Very easy to follow and understand. Thank you!
Captain mike I just heard about your wife's passing sorry to hear that I know exactly how you feel I loss my wife 5 yrs ago I know she was your backbone just like mine I miss her everyday but please stay strong for your family and your fishing family hope to see more videos in future 🙏🏻🇺🇸🎣🐟 we all will pray for you Thanks JOHN
Florida Sport Fishing Capt. Mike, one suggestion sir. Set up an Amazon affiliate account and have links to the items you recommend in the description. It would help newbies like me make sure I'm getting the right stuff and you'd get a percentage of my purchase.
Hi. Thanks for your nice videos. Why do you use heavy thick mono. Here in Mediterranean sea we are only after albacore tuna. Is it ok to use light leader? What are the reasons that you use heavy leader?
Steve from Alabama nice leader video, however I use single strand wire ranging for 40-105LB. like won't the teethie fish bite right though 150LB mono. I would like to make a few leaders for bottom fishing mulitple hook leader. also is all the stuff minus hooks included ?
Hi Capt Mike, I will be using Berkeley big game mono 130 lb which is 1.09 mm or .043 “ Diameter. What size crimps should I be buying? Thanks for your answer in advance
+shimon bain Different baits for different scenarios, I also recommend including at least one diving plug or planer bait in your trolling spread. - Capt Mike
Cap Mike , is there a difference between using a feather jig vs a jig made of rubber? does one just last more than the other? Thank you in advance for you advice!
eli madr I like feathers when specifically targeting tuna, they seem to love them. However, skirted lures are used all over the world everyday and certainly produce. Fish what you have confidence in. Thank you for watching. - Capt Mike

+MrsSuzyClark Hello Suzy and thank you for being a fan. You certainly could but of course, you'd have to make some minor modifications. What species are you targeting and where? - Capt Mike
+Florida Sport Fishing Hey there its actually Suzy's son Spencer, i'm 14....sorry forgot to tell you. Anyway, I would target Dolphin (mahi mahi) a couple miles off of Jupiter fl. I know you don't really NEED wire to catch Dolphin but I will by buying my own expensive trolling lure and there is always a possibility that something with sharp teeth would come up and nail it and break it off, like Wahoo. That is why I was thinking of using some heavy wire instead of mono. Thanks! -Spencer
+MrsSuzyClark Hiu Spencer, I would recommend rigging the lures on 150 lb Momoi X-Tra Hard leader. This way they will maintain the best swimming action and you'll have some protection against bite offs from wahoo/kings. - Capt Mike
Florida Sport Fishing Where do you get the grommets? Also, is there a specific benefit to using the grommet as supposed to making a loop with the loop protecters or thimbles? Thx! Tight lines.
jman3336 No, the loop with thimbles certainly accomplishes the exact same thing by providing a level of protection. I used to get the grommets from Pro Fish Co., not even sure if they are still around. - Capt Mike
Capt Mike, Great Video. Have a question about Crimping. I noticed you used the Momoi Silver Lock Oval Sleeves. Do you have a preference compared to using a Double Barrel Sleeve?
I've been able to locate the Magnum Ring & Grommet, by PROFISHCO. I just can't find them in anything lower than 900 lbs. There use to be a 200 to 250 lbs, but I'm not finding them. Anyone know where to find em'?
Hi ! I really enjoy watching your show! I would like to know where I can order some of the Diamond monofilament you are recommending ? Is there a web site in particular ? Thank you in advance.
Can you post the source of your grommets and ring? I've tried finding them at several online stores and can't find them, I'm just learning how to make my own rigs and the more details you can provide on the items used the better.
Alberto Linares There really is no need for crimped connections when bottom fishing in 150. As a rule, everything above 80 lb or 100 lb at the most should be crimped. - CM
