Idk how it makes sense. It’s simple. Dak had 8 all pros on his team and a top 5 defense. 90% of starting QBs can be at least a first round exit w/ a roster like that. Why pay a guy $60 million when I can get the same results w/ someone like Jordan Love, Joe Flacco, Geno Smith, or Kyler Murray. I could save much more cap space by paying those guys i mentioned significantly less AND sign even more talent to help them have more success since I’m not paying $60 mil at one position anymore. Or I could draft a rookie QB and surround him w/ tremendous talent. It just doesn’t make sense to pay $60 mil to a QB for a first round exit when I could pay virtually any other QB significantly less, improve the roster even more, and get to the same place or better.

shady is not really that smart. well most of you arent that smart either so yawll at least have something in common. 85 % of the quarterbacks in the league will never win a superbowl. Donovan Mcnab didnt win one and he had andy reid and a top five roster for years. Tony Romo didnt win won and he had a top 5 roster that dak took over and went to the playoffs. Lamar had had and still have a top 5 roster and he hasnt been to a superbowl. Josh allen who this clown prays to have a top five roster and still have not done anything. Just because you start at QB for a franchise does not make you a franchise QB. Pat Mahomes is a franchise QB, he just won the superbowl with the worst offensive unit he's had in Kansas City because the front office chose to focus on the defensive side of the ball the last few years. They could do this because they knew Mahomes would make it work. Dak is not that guy. Never has been, never will be.

Shady is so idiotic, I wonder if he ever understood anything in football beyond running head-on through walls. JJ makes an excellent point: Fields will be better off NOT starting. Accumulate as much work and understanding of the reads and subtleties of QB play you so egregiously lack, and develop quietly while Russ does the heavy lifting. Fields could be to the Steelers what Jordan Love is to the Packers.

Well, I think JF isn’t terrible, but he’s just not a legitimate quarterback. He plays more like a running back. Because a quarterback should be able to plant himself and throw the ball. He doesn’t do that. In fact he’s never had a winning season. Yet, some people think he’s a competent quarterback. Not yet. After three years in Chicago and NO WINNING SEASON, NO PLAYOFFS - 10 games in three years! Although he is a great guy in the locker room, runs like a running back, however, this does not equal a competent quarterback.

@@troygross6693 Dak needs to play better In the playoffs true enough , but it's far from being just his fault they are not advancing. You see other QBs and offenses struggle early in playoff games and the defense holds long enough for the offense to get on track . Brady made a legacy of it.. Dak scored 32 points in the second half and the defense could not hold at all.. Dude was 2nd I MVP votes..
