It's not on Jerry, Cowboys draft great and assemble quality rosters. The Cowboy problem is they keep paying over hyped QBs. Every Cowboy QB that is semi decent gets talked about as it they are elite, they put together a roster that allows the QB to get inflated stats, then they pay the guy for those inflated numbers.

The cowboys had 9 all pro players, far more than anybody else, they have been great in the draft, all these are tied to Jerry. The cowboys have won 12 games the last 3 years they have been successful based on Jerry getting the roster together. You think the reason the cowboys aren't winning Superbowls is because some old man talks to the media. You say he should be an owner, his team is more successful even recently than all but maybe 4 teams. Should all those other owners be Jerrys instead? I absolutely LOVE how they are referring to all of the things Dak has done as reasons to commit to him, when in fact those are all of the reasons to NOT commit to him. Why in the world should Dallas continue to pay him mega bucks in order to get nothing of consequence from him? Regular season stats are NOT why a team pays a QB. Dallas would end up with the exact same "big picture" results with a rookie QB or a lesser QB, and have a LOT of extra cap space to work with.

The QB market is simply insane, this is not a world where pay is based on results. Otherwise, either PM15 "should" make 200mil/year, or all but 4 or 5 Qbs (conference winners) should make less than 25 mil/y. Football is a show first, a sports second.
