@@haga7596 its a big world i honestly wouldnt be surprised if hes not lying, its good to have no trust about anything or anyone, but anything is possible and in general working at some of these companies isnt something to exactly brag about haha
Big shout out to the police in this occasion for being open minded, more officers should take note of how to assess the situation and deal with it correctly.
I'm surprised there aren't more comments about how good the police officer was. One of the best professionals I've seen in all of DJ's videos. What an absolute credit to the police department! 👏
I mean agree that these officers were exceptional but at the same time how they acted is what the standard should be for the police not the exception. More time than not when you see a bad police video it is caused by them being bias upon arrival towards the person they have been called against or they think its there job to enforce policies. Now if we can get all the police in the uk to be as exceptional as these two were perhaps we can start to live up to the name Great Britain again.
To be fair the guy in the sun glasses who calmly spoke is one of the most reasonable ive seen, obviously an engineer and not your usual security guard standard of employee. 👍
@@thefluffycow7287 which is the same thing that DJ gets pissed off at others for doing.... fair play to the guy in the glasses to begin with, he was being more than reasonable, the police were also very reasonable
Every credit to these police officers for their sterling handling of this situation. Massive thumbs up and perhaps these two should be an excellent example of how the police should act. They are civil servants and as the name suggests they are here to serve and are paid by tax payers. These two deserve a promotion for their professionalism 👍
The police were absolutely spot on, they didn’t appear to side with anyone and acted impartially to resolve the situation. Probably the best I’ve seen on any audit video and I’ve watched too many.
Well done to the Police, that should be a video shown to all Police on how to deal with a member of the public. They were respectful, open minded and wished to help in a legal activity, if only all Police officers were as respectful. Well done DJ and the Heddlu De Cymru Police.
The two police officers were terrific. I get a sneaking suspicion they're either SFC or soon to be. Extremely professional, top dress and bearing, clearly have IQs way above your standard officer. Credit where credit is due.
Those cops appear to be a decent pair of lads. No ego, no power tripping, talking to DJ like an equal and even admitted a limited knowledge of drone legislation rather than resorting to intimidation. Well done, let's have some more like them and the Police might eventually gain some trust from the public.
"@stevem40 10 hours ago I did notice that there is a security gate on the footpath at the first gatehouse you approached but clearly no barrier on the west way entrance. So it looks to me that the port owners ALREADY KNOW that they can't stop you on that road but have chosen not to tell any of their staff or security, betting on members of the public not knowing their rights. Excellent video as always." Agreed. Be interesting to see if we get a repeat performance if someone chooses to perhaps walk their dog on that public footpath...
I've found that the vast majority of cops on DJ's site are fairly professional with their interactions with him. Especially the younger ones. The old Sergeants and detectives seem to be the ones that are stuck in the past
He got EXTREMELY lucky with that pair, grew up in Newport most of my life and police like that are VERY few and far between, most of them would twist you up in knots and throw you in the back of the car for farting in the wrong direction lol
21:09 That poor angry guy shaking of anger, when DJ just tries to explain his wrong, jeez, relax old man, blood pressure must have been high there! 🥵 DJ putted another "tough guy" on his place...
Credit where it's due, those two constables were very professional, well done to them and that's great to see 👍 Edit - I made my comment before reading the thread. It seems I'm not alone is complimenting the police acting in a professional way. Let's hope other police constables take note.

Yes, just that them not informing anyone means SO MANY people chatting away without a conclusion ...AND they are all getting paid while that's going on!! 🤮
There must have been a lot of work put into training these officers regarding photography and drones over the past few years, I know some literally still haven't read the memos, but I’m glad we’re finally seeing the work of auditors having an effect. Met is the exception to the rule, as always.
The guy just doesn’t like that you have an answer to all of his questions. The older guy is actually creating an unnecessary situation and being aggressive and threatening himself, he should know better.
@@philldownes8685 Disagree, he says many times "l want to work with the companies" This may at times mean meeting them half way, to mutual satisfaction.
Two decent Welsh Cops. I am from Scotland and when on holiday in Wales always found The Welsh Lads and Lassies to be OK. Bit like our West Highland Coppers of Old,back in the days when there was a Cop in most villages. Met some good English Blokes in The North Country too !
Wow, this one was epic. The Police were absolutely fantastic weren't they. Couldn't have asked for better than that. All those staff who were completely wrong, didn't even make an apology to you. I would have paid to have heard the conversation between the Policeman and the port employees. DJ you are a master at this. Always impressive.
That’s mental how that women reacted .. so unprofessional and hate being corrected 😅 Think she needs to re read the SIA handbook on public engagement 🤣 Class DJ .. stood your ground .. Fair play mate class video 🙌🏼🤩
I guess she has never been confronted with a situation where she may have to think about something else apart from when her next break is or when her shift ends! Pay peanuts get monkeys.
The police handled this very well, they are a credit to the badge they carry. They listened, and worked out a viable solution to protect the interests of everyone, while maintaining the wording of the law. This is policing as it should be done.
Mr Audits, why do you not show future problems the following: I am medically housebound. I have no family, no friends but every day could be my last. I live 💯 in isolation with fear added to my exhausted mental state. If it were not for DJ Audits, I wouldn't see these sights. Thank you very much DJ Audits.
"you think you know everything", no SIA badge One of DJ's best performances (I've followed him since 8k). The policeman was fishing as usual. I don't think DJ should have complied with moving to another place, personally. Big no-no to tell police the name of his RU-vid channel today. But very entertaining 👌
I just hope her boss watches this and after he has finished shaking his head, he or she tears her a new one. What a terrible advert for port security 🙄.

5 stars to the 2 police officers, we need kore like these insteed of the 99% that are bullies and no care in the world for the public. These two police officers give us a little bit of faith for the police force . Hat off to you guys
Brilliant episode. We have the lovely ABP here in Grimsby, near where you filmed the Killinghome episodes. There are two yacht marinas and several dock areas, a lifting bridge, dock tower an old ice house/fishmarket that have been used for movies and ABP generally take FULL CONTROL over anyone in the area especially the marina/fishmarket area. Love your work, from an ex camera-operator.
The 2 police officers were brilliant. Were aware of the street that is publicly maintained, therefore lawful to be on. Also it is so satisfying that after the way the manager reacted, and all of them seemed adamant that it wasn't council road. To see that DJ (as usual) was correct and acting lawfully. The only real Issue I have was the police officer is a Coventry City fan 😂😂(I'm a Leicester City fan). But top police officers and should be praised 👏👍
This is one of the best videos you've done in my opinion. The police were amazing, the port staff were the typical mindless idiots making the law up to suit them.
Just think of all the public footpaths the public haven't walked on due to security telling us we cant when in reality we can. Thanks DJ, voice of the working man 👊
if the council assist with the management of anything, that doesn't automatically make it public property. councils can provide pest control services for example at discounted rates to people in houses. that does not make their houses public property. greater london authority provides discounted travel tickets on trains at public expense. the train operators and their property are private providers and private property. that does not make train providers public companies or their property public property. you may think you are learning something from these videos however the reality is that you are learning pseudolaw. this is why many auditors get convictions which are published in newspapers however hidden from their channel subscribers
I really admire your attitude and professionalism. It’s crazy how much control the public have if they remain calm and informed over bill bully corporations. Another great video DJ
@@paullitten1 Plenty of working people are thick as mince, I didn't say they don't work hard did I. Stop being a fairy. The issue here, is these 'hard working' thick plebs should be working hard and not sticking their noses into other people's business. And anyway, how do you know they are hard working ? They might be a bunch of lazy twats.
There was no need for 7 people to surround you and intimidate you! They didn’t know their job and didn’t have their ID on display! If they are not educated they will continue to do this and violate peoples rights!

@justbreakingballs Go and live in Russia, China or North Korea. You'd be so much happier. You clearly like to have absolutely no rights and to be dictated too by others. Boot licker.
Of course, with normal people one might have expected an apology for all the untruths those employees spoke and their attitude in general, but these "Karens" as the Americans would say, are so puffed up with their imagined authority, the words "sorry we were wrong" is not in their vocabulary.
The Young Port Engineer came across human unlike the security girl has the wrong job , then his boss came along 20 minutes into the video expecting to get his way & finally the police came & difused the suitation & listened to both sides to find a solution !
Loved that one DJ, that was intense in parts. That female security guards was an arsehole anyway. 'It irritates my neck!' THEN CLIP IT TO YOU SECURITY VEST THEN, dumb arsehole. I like how you stood up to that big guy who said he'd painted the road, what an idiot he was. 'Don't threaten me, don't threaten me.' His intimidation tactics didn't work. hahaha Well-done DJ, looking forward to your next clip mate.
I found it hilarious when she was complaining about the lanyard irritating her neck, if her boss knows this surely they can provide either a hi-viz with a clear window on or a holder for her arm. Although I'm sure she would find something to moan about. I find it embarrassing as a women that female staff can get every male in her vicinity to get angry and as stupid as her what are wrong with these women. Great vid and stay safe.
@@Bobbins376 OH DEAR the lady was clearly out of her depth, searching around for anything to say to get her out of her previous comments ,and then being pulled up about the clear fact that it was her that was breaking a criminal law.
I have an issue with my lanyard for my ID so bought myself a plastic card holder and used velcro sown to my Hi-vis to display it and never had any complaints as I informed my boss of the reasoning, the next uniform issue the Hi-vis came as standard to include the ID pocket.
Guy at work turned up in flip flops and did an hours work in them because he thought it was too warm for his steel toe capped boots. Boss nearly sacked him on the spot when he found out.The law is not optional
Best police interaction I've seen in a long time, although he did try to get a little picky about the definition of a bike, which could have spoilt it. The people who surrounded you were quite pathetic. Billy big Bollocks and his mates must have been on a passive aggressive course. They seem to like the term. Well done DJ for standing your ground.
The police officer was correct as technically a bicycle is classed as a vehicle under the Road Traffic Act which is what allows them to restrict them from being used on certain roads like motorways or pavements.
@@cuddlybear_uk. . This is a bit of a weird one. Riding a bike you can be stopped under Section 163 and asked for your details under S164 of the RTA, but not if you are pushing or carrying it ! What is more bizzare is there are no speeds limits for 'push' bikes to be ridden, they don't have to follow speed restrictions for motor vehicles, even electric bikes are only 'assisted' not driven. Throttle controlled eletric bikes do come under the RTA for speed and insurance purposes -the same with throttle controlled scooters.😮
DJ the street view car shows you which roads are private and which roads are public . Because the private roads haven't got a blue line on them on Google maps 🤔🇬🇧
Nice officers, really sensible no escalation, can see the reality of the situation. Security educated nicely. Good job. The worker that engaged with you, fair play to him, professional and calm attitude, would make a great Police Officer for sure .
Great audit DJ. The female insecurity officer is a clown and needs reporting to SIA. I bet she was absolutely furious after the police informed her of her ignorance. Awesome 👌
It’s either counsel maintained or private road. I admire DJ for his patience in trying to explain what he is doing and these thick “security” obviously don’t know what they are saying. They simply don’t listen. I agree with the viewers that the police were very professional and most importantly relaxed interacting with the public. As always DJ did a fantastic job 👍👍🤣👏👏
I still remember a time when everyone was much more chill and friendly. I'm 63. All of the drama wouldn't happen, if people just pretended, if nothing else, that every person that they meet in their daily routine, might just end up being a friend and buddy going forward. Can you imagine a world where that happened even 10% of the time? Everything would be different.
You're a couple years behind me, and in the US I can say the same thing. Society everywhere has slid a bit, and sliding is generally downhill. Those two cops, however, were the most reasonable I've seen in any of this guy's videos. Except the drone cop on the protest video, he was also quite cool.
Well done to the police officers who attended the docks. They were very polite and professional and it’s very unusual to see them act with respect and courtesy. If only the others would take a moment to take notice and take something from the video. Great to see but very unusual these days
1, that was your best ever audit 2, fair play to the security at the end who was all for listening and learning 3, good to see the police engage their brains before getting it wrong.
It was interesting that Tyrant female security flagged down a worker for help . She couldn't even handle a guy taking video . Not surprising she doesn't know what she's doing .
@@macca696 then she should get another job . There's a gate house go inside and lock doors and press panic alarm etc . Not stand out like a tyrant giving demands she knew nothing about . Good one DJ. An exciting video and the police were spot on with their response. An education for the Staff. No doubt this will be the topic of discussion at their next security meeting.
Aye who's turn is it to get the biscuits what a bunch of divs and that Karen so called security pmsl just kept repeating herself she'd give an aspirin a sore fkn head
This is a FANTASTIC video nice one DJ. the amount of push back and standing up you did was fantastic even when the "Big boss" thought he was going to lay the law down amazing work
'What is road adoption? Road adoption is when the council takes ownership of a 'private road'. It is then managed and maintained by the council. It becomes a public road as part of the public highway, if it has been built to adoptable standards in terms of layout and construction'
Kudos to both police officers, very polite and professional and clearly up to speed on public photography and drone laws. If only there were a few more thousand like them we might have a half decent police service. As for the security mob, the most senior one was rude and way to aggressive and did nothing but escalate the situation. The lady without her badge was just being childishly defensive because she got caught out. I’m sure she hardly ever wears the badge and keeps it in her bag because prior to this visit, no one has held her accountable.
Well done ..amusing how people don't know much about their jobs. is it a case of retraining about your job....or....retraining about your attitude to the public.
Policing done properly.. professional officers, educated and genuine… respect to them👍 People don’t like it when you know your rights, and the law, and don’t comply. FairPlay to the guy at the end he was happy to be informed…
Probably 2 of the best police officers knowing the laws of the roads in the area and knowing the laws on Drone flying over the docks and surrounding areas.
“It’s irritating my neck” is the silliest excuse I’ve heard for not wearing a badge. A shirt clip, arm band, belt clip etc. If you happen to have a hypersensitive nect, there’s tons of alternatives.
Goodness! That was actually quite a tense and intense video DJ. So, so many things could've gone badly. From the freaking-out security woman to the all-too-familiar aggressive cop turnout. Absolute top marks to those two Officers. Yeah, they did move you -ish, but they did it out of a greater desire for calm diplomacy rather than a 'we're gonna stick up for the business regardless" need. That level of polite diplomacy shown by both you and those Officers was outstanding and sadly lacking around the planet these days. Much respect for all 3 of you and the security guard in the hut. I hope he has a chat with his higher-ups and is able to convey his side of his training. He would certainly be an asset to future guard training if they listen to him.
That one security guard was a hair from assaulting you. He needs to be fired and told to find a different line of work. You did a great job standing up for your rights and the police were extremely professional unlike the security team. That one lady guard seemed to realize she might actually get in trouble for not wearing her badge/license.
Can't believe how well you stood your ground. 10/10 for you. Also, as previously mentioned, very professional and calm Police officers... a credit to the force.
At 28.30- he states about visibility, and that if a lorry comes out a shed they may not see you from dust accumulated on a windscreen. But he must also remember it's a legal requirement to always have washer fluid avaliable to rinse dirt dust etc etc. Failing to have fluid is not only illegal (knowingly driving a vehicle with defects or visibility restrictions that could impair safety) its also an mot failure. Its a very silly sounding legal requirement under the roads traffic act. But i also understand why its implemented and really should be enforced. Btw @DJ audit keep up the good work in standing ground on you're sovereign rights as a citizen. I applaud you.
Nice audit. I'm pleased that you managed to visit a port and see ships etc. As an ex merchant seaman, i have seen ports all over Europe and yes they can be very dangerous places. I nearly got cut in half by a crane driver who messed up with his levers in Sweden. He bought me a bottle of whisky the next day which is very expensive in Sweden, so hats off to him and no hard feelings. I already had whisky on board which we got for nigh on free but the thought from this driver was accepted and i know he felt awful about the incident. Several people were killed whilst i was in different ports and several lost their lives on neighbouring ships in the North Sea when their vessels sank. Congratulations to the Police for being professional about the whole situation. Shame you didn't report the breaking of the law in regard to the SIA badge !!! I hope to see the Police patrolling my neighborhood on E-bikes or scooters very soon. Hopefully the arrogant "manager" will get himself educated or retrained in how to deal with members of the public in future. 👍
8:00 A council maintained road can be on private property. It just means that the owner doesn't have to maintain it. As part of the conditions that releases the owner from maintaining the road they have to allow public access at all times and for any reason and cannot restrict access, not even by asking the purpose of the visit.
I grounds maintain for private companies, all the areas I do have council lights etc. This doesn't mean you have access, the council will have when needed to. I pay for offices in my council, I don't have access to them although I pay......... it's he same thing.
@@juniusvindex769 Did I cross any barriers, open any doors/gates or climb any fences? No. Public have access, the road is maintained by the council so public can use it. If they want to close a gate or have the barrier all the way across to restrict movement then this will be different and presumably they would have permission from the council to do this.
great video, whats amusing now though is that the road has changed to 'Responsibility: Mixed maintenance responsibility, multiple maintaining parties' :D
They’re public streets, yes, and a public right of way. even though it says maintained at the public expense , You can walk or drive on them just the same as any other street. But they’re not maintained by the local council and instead the people who own the adjoining premises are directly responsible for maintaining them, i love how all the times the police have turned up they always say carry on, and they side with you and prove you are right in your quest to educate all these uneducated... big up to you and carry on..
The real issue here is that they THINK that road is private and therefore don't treat it as being out in the public, probably go on there with vehicles and in ways that you wouldn't be allowed to... and that is a serious issue. Also, if that is true, the huge red "No unauthorized access" sign that you went past on your way in is a LIE.
What's amazing is DJ knows the law, rules and legislation better than the security or the police who should be current on this , he has clearly done his homework in advance, what the police really need is legal advance on the radio to clear up these disputes on the spot, when you get bored of auditing DJ could be your new job role 👍
Another Class Audit mate 🤗 Really setting the Standards High with all the interactions and standing your Ground it was council adopted road even though they all thought otherwise, keep them coming 👍🏻 p.s that main manager was a right nob, came across a few if them in my audits where they think they know all about the Law and think personally they are above it 😯
I do like it when the police act professionally as they showed in the video, they can rest easy knowing they did a job well done. Great video DJ well done and well done to the Police!
I completed SIA training when on duty you are required to display your card. An I do not think that rule has changed unless of course it's in the mind of those who fail to do so
Good job DJ. 👍⭐⭐⭐ Does appear to be a publicly accessible road across private land serving multiple businesses. FindMyStreet does provide the street reference number and maintained at public expense as DJ noted. Newport Council definitive map doesn't clarify West Way Road but does note East Way Road as private road. Up through the 1964 OS map, the west side of the Alexandra Dock was all railway and sidings, no West Way Road. If not developed until the 1980s, possible the road was adopted as part of the redevelopment. East Way Road existed on older maps so not subject to adoption under Highways Act (if applicable). Any planning applications over past decade may include a Highways report detailing if the West Way Road is considered publicly accessible.
Tell her to stop her Yapping ! What authority does she have. Credit to that guy he indeed did have great communication skills. Well done for taking no crap DJ ! Police were very professional. Your video's are awesome and deffinately with a difference mate , keep up the good work 😎👌
The HiViz squad got taken out for ride,,,and Rebecca of Sunny Security Farm went to school.... and the actual rules made the road to reality a fairly bumpy ride...Good Job by Mr DJ.....
That was the best video you have done for ages. The cops were very fair, just how we should expect them to be. I don’t like aggressive cops, hate watching them, but these two… perfect 🤩. The ship unloading was interesting and the drone footage very good. Thanks dj
actually this is the very worse video he has ever done.. never once before have i seen him back down and crawl away leaving the wrong people thinking they were right and getting him off a public place...... piss poor as far as standing up for your rights...
Gotta say, a bloody well done with this one mate, Past a vehicle barrier and sat on a government maintained road in "private area". Definitely a solid educational experience here. Also with what you said about the e-bikes, that actually makes complete sense now with why e-scooters "aren't allowed" but rules wise, should follow the e-bikes.
The fact that the older man came down and everyone thought he would solve it, only for him to be told NO, was gold. He lost serious man points on that hahaha
A very entertaining video watching those rude people being proven wrong. You certainly very much stand your ground and hopefully encourage some of your viewers to have the same approach in life.
I left South Wales at the end of the 1980’s but dialect and accent never leaves you, the swearing Boss definitely had a Cardiff accent, the female security guard not Welsh, the tech told us he lived half an hour away probably Cardiff as well…..the guy in the gatehouse came from a place over the horizon. To be fair, those dockside quays can be dangerous places you have to know where to go and what to look out for, I understood their concerns. The police were exemplary👍, there was a police training college not far from those docks but it was closed down ten years ago, it’s now dealt with at Bridgend (where all the mysterious teenage suicides took place) good vid DJ
I work in a public sector and o often deal with these situations, I enjoy watching you because it educates me and also trains me in talking to people with facts without being aggressive :) funny too . Stay safe
