Audi Newbury visit, Marshall's have updated their policy to not allow filming from public of their building or cars AND no drones !! A customer challenges us and then... POLICE turn up !!!!
Why the hell is a police officer trying to enforce a company policy in clear violation of the law? British policing is an absolute disgrace. No wonder that the police are utterly loathed.
If she had a brain cell, but she wasn’t listening anyway. She said ‘I don’t know what is going on at the moment’ will she ever know? Why are police trained to this embarrassing level?
The lady cop is pissed that a member of the public is educating her about their own policy. How dare a member of public do so, and not bend and kiss her feet. Disgusting...
@JH24820 Still a public servant and needs to apply the law of the land without fear or favour. Company policies are not law, she needs reminding of that.
So for example, if you was in a supermarket and some bloke came up to you and started filming your 3 year old and you questioned him on why he was filming your child erm would you be ok with a reply of who are you !!! Yes or No. ? I know my reaction would be most likely to get me arrested. He has no right to assume he can do as he wants based on his idea to hide behind the law and stretch the rules and try to push it to the limit. If he had an ounce of respect for the staff he would have said, is it ok if i take some pics, lets be honest its dodgy behaviour.
It's no wonder you can wait hours, days, even weeks for police to respond to an incident when 4 officers are stood around discussing an issue that is not even up for debate.
@@Freddyinthesheddy So you prefer large blue chip companies like Audi to be allowed to tell the public what to do? They pinch land for their dealerships and take the piss, we don't need them trying to control the public as well.
@@Freddyinthesheddy I can see both points of view to be honest. Sure most people don't go around with a camera or a drone, but I'm certain that he's not after a negative response... In fact both DJE Media and DJ Audits in my opinion are some of the best 'auditors' (for want of a better word) for entirely that reason. They want a positive reaction, and make the best out of those reactions. It's only when a company tries to enforce rules upon the general public that they attempt to prove their point. That's what it's all about, acting freely within the bounds of the law.
@@user-bk9nl4zl5flol I'm going to start crying now. Not. He is giving them free advertising. I get stopping crime but aan with a camera. I don't believe he is do anything wrong and they are just being paranoid. 👍 Photography is not a crime. 👍😂🤣😂🤣💯
Thames Valley police showing their inabilty to police according to the LAW and their bias against people filming legally. She hasn't been fair; she's being anti photography. Quite simply, they're inept and trying to enforce feeling before what they're supposed to do.
Imagine needing someone to tell u how to do Ur job and being annoyed that someone is telling u how to do Ur job! I swear police get more dumb every year.
What an arrogant cop, refused to listen to anything, refused to take onboard any material facts, did not introduce herself properly, had no idea ref law, was borderline section 26 abuse of power in a public office. Spoke to Audi manager and walked away from you as she wants to enforce their policies
@@Fartman3000 research section 26, cops and government officials are also held to account by laws, which they either ignore or are ignorant of. If a cop threatens arrest when no law is broken they are breaking a law apart from an assault
I’m currently typing up a policy that says if anyone films my property I require them to pay me £100 cash, and if people don’t pay I will call the silly WPC to enforce my policy😀.
Police “girl” not a woman yet, uniformed ego of ignorance and lack of courtesy makes a pretty girl look ugly, very condescending stance just said it all.
Why don't you make your own public policy of all your legal rights and when they show their policies, get yours out. well done for keeping our Rights alive DJE
Wouldn’t matter if you had written permission from the King and 3 blessings from the Pope, when there’s no glue holding the coppers brain cells together. They only listen to one side of the story anyway and it’s not the auditors
I always thought a big official looking sign would be nice, stating ‘filming permitted in this area’. If they give you any hassle just point to the sign, it will confuse their drone minds.
Out of all my years living within the Thames Valley area I can honestly say I’ve only ever met one polite and respectful on duty copper. The rest have been rude or trying to force bs charges when I was a youngster in the 90’s. …. And they wonder why there is such a disconnect with the public.
Police are there to enforce law, not corporate policies. She tried to do the opposite, was rude, not impartial and displayed favouritism, as we witness many times by the police. Another officer giving the good police a bad name.
Ask the cop a direct question “did I break the law at any point, and can Marshalls stop people legally flying drones over their building”? She’d be forced to respond instead of avoiding the question. Fact is she’s probably ignorant of the law.
Red top woman - is typical of the worst kind of Audi driver - no consideration for others. (most Audi drivers are fine but a proportion of them do leave me shaking my head) Slaphead Audi salesman: how petty?!! Terrible way to represent the brand. Police breaking GDPR law by NOT informing you they were filming you and therefore gathering data on you. And excusing their unlawful behaviour on the basis that DJE as a private individual was filming them. I disagree completely with DJE saying it wasn't slaphead's fault. The commandant at Auschwitz was just following orders. I personally would take great delight in ignoring the orders of people above me if they were clearly unethical. Trying to interfere with the lawful and harmless activities of someone on a pavement is clearly unethical.
GDPR is in the EU. We have DPA here. Not having a go at you , it just makes me laugh when people like managers/security etc think 'GDPR' makes them sound important !
Mr awkward pounced on her before she had any chance to say she was recording , and she was in his full view as she turned the camera on , for her own protection . Tally light is enough indication the camera is on .
Yes the smart thing would be to do what the freemasons did with Charlie Veitch. They took him in and showed him round their whole building. Friendly, welcoming, gentlemanly. Audi Newbury could have had free advertising by doing the same thing but unfortunately they chose to show themselves up badly instead. So needless.
That blondie cop has a tongue hinged at both ends. She just keeps yakking on, making no sense at all and not even listening to you!.....I'm amazed too how many cops say, when challenged about their filming of you, say words to the effect, "yeah, but you're filming me"............They seem totally oblivious to the law/policy which states they MUST tell the public when they are filming - but you are free to film without telling them!
they just use a thousand words to conceal their bullshit. They think it makes them look clever. They also try to leave no gaps so the civilian can't put them right.
She just won't shut up......God help her husband!🤣🤣 Good listening is not just about learning what a person is saying, but making a commitment to digesting the information they are presenting and responding constructively.
And the idiots in society wonder why the police not respected, here is a fine example, come to enforce an unenforceable policy that has no correlation to the law, but god forbid you get burgled not a copper to be sent
I know for a fact that virtually ALL car dealerships for ALL makes including Marshalls regularly have people filming in them as the manufacturers pay third parties to audit them in the form of mystery shoppers. I can also name several of the companies that employ people to carry out these audits. I've never heard such B.S. 😂
@@danielweston8077 Yes, the consent of the company but the whole point of mystery shopping is that the dealership staff will have no idea who the person is that's performing the mystery shop. It could literally be anyone so to act in the way they did in the vid was completely unnecessary. "Not rocket science"
In fairness, I think the Police had just turned up to buy lunch, and didn’t originally know what was happening. But having become involved, the PC was more interested in trying to smooth things over, than clarifying and setting out the legalities. Clearly, Marshall’s policy of no drones and no filming from public is unenforceable, as both of these activities are lawful for members of the public.
That police officer is not very professional, you can see why there is a disconnect, big egos are a problem with some police officers great video stay safe retired lifeboatman
That Woman had no rights to ask you what you were doing, and in fact you were within your rights to politely tell her to mind her business, and get lost!!
Law enforcement officers are Officers who are employed for the purpose of "enforcing the law" (hence the title!), and are not required, or even authorized, to enforce private policies!
@@user-zj6gn2bj5g Ah look another account just created today........ Happens every time on these videos. Are you maybe the clueless copper on this video or the clueless bloke with the little bit of paper enforcing policies in public places? You seem to be interested in the threads about enforcing the policy. You lot are so thick.
No they are employed to UPHOLD the law! They have no right involving themselves in civil matters where their is NO CRIME! Audi - you are disgraceful! My daughter has a range of Audi's as company cars but after I show her this she will change brand for sure. So in March you will lose at least 12 sales in one little area of the country but I am sure others will follow suit.
@Kenlapham... You may refer to them as 'law enforcement officers', but their correct title is constable. Any sworn constable remains a sworn constable until leaving employment as such. Regardless of rank reached, they remain a constable with same obligations of oath.
Marshall’s Group has Squealer’s not Sellers - one would think that marketing is taking advantage of every media platform to turn it around to use it for their own selling. What a bunch of losers - motto is “Never buy a Car from Marshall’s”
Typical copper, hasn’t occurred to her that what you told her was police policy and then law. You were telling her how to do her job because she didn’t know how to do her job.👮🏻♀💩👮🏻♀💩👮🏻♀💩
The officer only can hear what she is saying & the law is irrelevant especially before she feeds her face, great to see how our tax money is spent, thanks DJE
She needs sacking, and her pension removed this woman need to go back to training school bet she costs tge tax payer thousands in compensation with claims
The manager guy made a reasonable point that is lawfully enforceable. If he's flying his drone up to the windows he very likely is impinging on the right to privacy of those on the inside, that could be construed as a breach of the peace.
There policy is a waste of time, because they don't have any rights to the airspace or filming in public. Why they think their policy is somehow lawful is a joke.
Why do you auditors allow police to get away with violating their filming policy and GDPR, here's what I would do. I would not ask the officer if they were filming, I would wait til the police interaction is over, go to their police station give the officers numbers and ask if the interaction with the officers was filmed. Once I was told it was filmed I would then make a complaint against the officer for violating policy and GDPR for not telling me. That complaint would have to be upheld, and the officer would be disciplined.
That is very poor policing, she needs educating on the law of the land, I would like to enforce that every person that walks past my door gives me £5000 so is that going to happen?? I don't think so
''You're now telling me how to do my job, aren't you'' That's because you're not doing your job or don't understand the law. Hands in pockets. Another part of their training. The discipline of the civilian cops is frightening.
GDPR REQUIRES them to inform you. They are breaking the law by not telling you they are recording your personal data. If you're going to audit, read out what it says in the police handbook and have the blackbest barrister video clip on hand if necessary
They know what's in the policy, they just choose to gloss over the covert filming they do ,or just say "whoops", I forgot to tell you of the recording, it's amazing how many cops develop amnesia ( temporarily) whilst covertly recording you .
I visited Aston Martin in. Chichester not is my best clothes either. I asked if I could take a selfie with an Aston Martin. He helped me with the photos even got me sat in a £280k car. Couldn't do enough for me, real salesman knows the value of free advertising 😊
Hands in pockets, getting pissed off, trying to back up the manager of a business who wants to intimidate the enforcement of a policy through police action. When I speak to people I don't ever have my hands in my pockets. I learned that in the army.
Another example of police wanting to have the last word and not compling to gdpr or educating the public. Please keep up the great work auditing correctly.
