though I'm really happy that mr. skinner keeps producing, I can't help but being devastated at the prospect of never hearing his clever lyrics presented with his unique flow ever again. the streets will be missed dearly. let's look forward to the new projects.
lovin this song.. Mike Skinner you are a fuckin legend seriously couldn't imagine life without ur music *respect* and can't wait to see you in sydney this year I thought id never see you live
Hey Skinner. Thanks for the great concert in Aarhus, Denmark last Saturday. My friends and I was really stoked to see you guys perform before you stop touring. I apologise on the behalf of the other people at the concert, that the "Go Moses" didn't go as planned. I like this D.O.T. stuff too, keep up the good work :)
surely these new releases are a good thing?!!? I hope this is the next step after the streets skinner had been talking about in his interviews when asked about life after the streets, surely it seems he cant stay away from creating new tracks, even if he isn't on them he is still behind them :) keep em coming mike
Why do I live in fear She's going to leave than she will Nothing is never clear Swear this paranoia could kill Let me tell you you want me Let me tell you you need me Your the one thing that keeps me On the right side of madness Let me tell you you want me Let me tell you you need me Your the one thing that keeps me On the right side of madness I know it's all my fault I make a deal with myself To leave it whole Everything is here And I swear I can be better
i love robs voice, its so unique and i got hooked on it since going through hell i think this is the best D.O.T. one at the minute... And does anyone have confirmation that these are Mike's lyrics??? could just be that the two of them have very similar writing styles?
The best of the D.O.T so far. But can i ask something...WTF is it? :S My educated asumption is it is Rob Harvey as vocals and Mike as producer! Am i right and if so i still feel a need for explanation lol.
@wirezts Kind of agree, although I am liking this stuff. LOVE Mike's voice, Rob's doesn't really hit the spot for me. H Jon Benjamin and Mike Skinner are my favourite voices in the world. They make me smile, uncontrollably.
@Nightfall1 Queen. Led Zeppelin. Pink Floyd. Abba. And many, many more still make money from albums though and they're all defunked, but I know what you mean. If you have a lasting legacy ( good music ) under your belt that will always sell, and quite rightly so, but the only thing Skinner has IS the Streets and not this above, so when the need arises as surely night follows day. Money ? and the need of it will dictate he will have to go back instead of forward, and this above is not forward. G.
Am I the only person that thinks that the vocals on this track are just the chorus, and that Mike has some verses tucked away somewhere that are to appear in the blank spots? Can't you guys hear it?
I love the instrumental, but I can't help but feel on-edge in a negative way when hearing this guys voice and it's been like it since before the last 'The Streets' album, I think the time is coming when I have to say that I'm not actually keen on him, which is a shame because I've always previously liked anything Mike associated himself with :(
Well. The guitar player is influenced by Alex Lifeson ( Rush ) which is no bad thing, indeed, if you dont like Rush I dont think I'm going to like you to be honest...Ah, but in saying that...Skinner has lost the plot in a big way these days. Did the last / latest album cause any ripples to speak of critically ?...No...What about sales mmm?... Peanuts...Has Skinner scurried away a tidy fortune in residuals for a rainy day ? Should have...He knows as I do he's had his day in the sun...G...
