This was the last song my husband and I danced to, though we didn't know it at the time. Last night I dreamed of him again - We were in his old truck, he was driving and I was sitting so close to him. There were no other vehicles on the road - Just us. Some folks grieve and then begin to live again. Some of us grieve the rest of our lives - missing, yearning for the one who took our heart with them when they passed.
So do I .it was played over ,and over and over again..I was but 5-6 yrs old ....to me them, it was meaningless .only now I came across it listened to it alone... And wow ....I realised this wss s very emotional song to someone he loved ......❤❤❤
Fifty eight years later and no one has been able to come even close to singing this song the way he did. What an incredible talent. I wonder if when he recorded this song he had any idea about how much joy he would bring to millions and millions of music lovers all over the world. Music like this has enriched our lives.
Words can hardly describe how wonderful and perfect this song is. Nobody, even other great singers, could sing this song better than Bobby. He was spectacular.
Oh my gosh so could listen to this all day. This was a time when marriage meant something to people and love was real. People literally loved each other (man and a woman).
This song belongs to Bobby Hatfield no one performs it like him, fabulous. Bought this record when first released in 1965, 2024 and still listening. Amazing,

OMG...The late Bobby Hatfield! I was 15 yrs old when I watched him sing this beautiful song on the Andy Williams show in 1965. Bobby nailed it! No one sang it like he did! He owns this song. RIP Bobby! We miss your beautful voice! 💖 💖💖
He was 25 when he sang Unchained Melody on the Andy Williams show in 1965. His performance was absolutely phenomenal. Hands down, that was the most beautiful rendition of that amazing song.
I am 39 years old and still listen to this song. This song brings me so much comfort and joy, I will never grow tired of it! What a beautiful and enchanting voice, never to be duplicated and not to mention, he was a handsome guy as well. RIP Bob❤️
Он спел очень хорошо. Очень.. Но слышали бы вы как пела моя учительница по сольфеджио.. Прошло 20 лет я до сих пор помню её пение.. Это было СОБСТВЕННО ЖЕНСКОЕ ПЕНИЕ.
I'll be 90 next year, and can remember trying to "CROON" Unchained Melody while driving around in my '37 Ford with a date who was less than impressed. And finally, it was sung perfectly! Never tire of listening to it.
I am going to agree with you for the most part. Some of it is music and some of it is real singing. When I watch some of the reaction videos, I realize that so many young people have not been exposed to real singers outside of gospel, maybe. So many people from back in the day, even those across borders, who sang, had these super strong voices. Their voices were the instruments. One of the good things that has come from the internet is the fact that people from everywhere can go back and listen to what real music and voices sounded like. Even though, I am not sitting around listening to this singing or music regularly, I can be a binge watcher or listener. I was exposed in my childhood because somebody, somewhere near was playing songs. I miss the depth of songs.
Nobody could sing this as beautiful and meaningful as he does. He will always be recognised by me and everyone else. There is no mistaking such a wonderful voice that he had .Absolutely beautiful 😍 😍 😍
He is the only person that I've ever heard sing this song what a beautiful voice I didn't know that he had died our lose is Heavens gain Rest In Peace beautiful Handsome Bobby Thank God we can still hear you sing it 🙏😩😥😢
So beautiful! We need more songs like this. The world was strong in faith in Jesus. We have to get back there. Pray to the good Lord so we can overcome evil!🙏❤🕊❤
@@MikeHottVODYou are love by God, Jesus is His only Begotten Son,the real one who gives His life to us for the remission of all our sins,, It's time you have to read the Bible from the Old to the New Testament,,,You are love by God,,,God forgives you timeis now He is calling all His Israelites people,,,,Repent,,,❤❤❤
1965 was a more innocent time. As the years have passed, people have become nastier and more crude, and the "music" today reflects that. The just FLAT don't make music like this anymore, and there will never be another like Bobby!
My Dad and I both loved the Righteous Brothers, especially "Unchained Melody", it brought a rebellious teenager and her Dad together in the 60's. My Dad just passed at 94 three days ago, and listening to this song again brought back such wonderful memories. Rest in Peace Pops. Thank you for sharing your love of music with me, what a beautiful gift.
I heard recently he dedicated It to all you brave men, he must have known what it would mean to someone fighting in that terrible war so far from home. It still brings tears to my eyes to think of what you all lived through. This song meant so much to so many, it's fitting it's also the song the great Bobby Hatfield is remembered for above all others, the greatest song for the greatest generation.
My son and daughter-in-law danced to this at their Naval Academy wedding the day after his graduation in 1995 and it makes me cry happy tears every time I hear it. My prince and his princess ❤
Aww, Bobby Hatfield... Had the voice of an angel, and this has often been voted the greatest live solo performance of all time... No one has ever sang this song like Bobby did... He was born with a gift that only comes around once in a generation... RIP Bobby 🌹 Hatfield
My grandmother loved this song. We listened to it for 6 hours straight from Ohio to Alabama and she sang the whole time. She passed away 7/26/2024 and I wish I could hear her sing it one more time.

Perfect pitch, his voice ❤ first saw him here on TV at 8 , and when he came to AZ I drove through the rain to see him, wore white, got in free. Lol , and sat in th front row. He looked down and sang , omgsh. I was stupefied. Why didn't I get an autograph? A picture? It was surreal 😊
Bobby Hatfield was scouted by the Los Angeles Dodgers. He briefly considered signing as a professional ballplayer, but his passion for music led him to pursue a singing career while still attending high school. "Unchained Melody" is a 1955 song with music by Alex North and lyrics by Hy Zaret. North wrote the music as a theme for the prison film Unchained (1955)

We had the best singers and music growing up in the 50s and 60s. Such an experience to be thrilled again to Bobby’s voice and his signature songs. It is even more exciting now to see whole new generations tuning into this music and falling in love with it.
LISTENING 8.17.23 BEAUTIFUL SO MUCH FEELING, BEAUTIFUL LYRICS, THIS MAN IS A JEWEL WITH HIS BEAUTIFUL VOICE THIS IS WHAT YOU CALL A TIMELESS CLASSIC ❤❤❤❤❤ HIGH NOTES WORDS SO PROFOUND 😢😢😢😢😢, LOVE TO HIM.
My dad showed my little sister and I this video a few years ago. We were both shocked and in awe over this man’s voice. I can’t even believe the final note he sings….It’s so high and gorgeous….I don’t think I have ever heard another man sing like that. The closest I’d heard was Andy Williams. They both have that powerful, enchanting voice but I don’t think I have ever heard a man sing that high and that beautifully…It sounds almost otherworldly…Truly unique and beautiful ❤️
Bobby Hatfield was a countertenor. Experts say, theres 1 per generation on average. Instead of the usual vocal range of 1-1½ octaves, 2 octaves for the really good, countertenors reach through 4-5 octaves from the lowest tenor through alto up into soprano. Bobby reached 6 octaves with no real training. He could hit the high soprano notes like that without ever doing falsetto, which is, why the final note is so gorgeous. Even among the very rare countertenors, Bobby Hatfield was special.
