We cover two different methods to fold the North American Rescue C-A-T Gen 7 Tourniquet prior to loading it into your RIGID TQ Case.
*This method also works with legacy C-A-T models.
*At 1:22, "It" is in reference to the edge of the white printed C-A-T label closet to the friction buckle on the Gen 7.

Just got mine and trying to load it......Gotta say...if I was dying, I wouldn't want to have to pull so hard to get it out. It is A LOT snugger of a fit than I ever imagined it would be.

The idea behind having a separate cases externally for everyone to carry sounds great but even our club medic gave up and said that this thing it’s too small to be effective in a high stress scenario. It would be great for us if it was easier to put together.

You must be smarter than the TQ holder.

go with the bi-fold method if you use the shirt saver and wear a class a uniform otherwise that velcro is going to eat your shirt to pieces....

Will the holder also work for the Medical Recon gen 4?

I tried with recon gen 4 TQ, and it did fit; but the friction buckle was too big. The buckle on the recon 4 TQ is so strong that it actually expands the rigid TQ case. In a pinch, with no other option, maybe it is worth it; but it was very difficult getting it out. I ended up using a recon gen 3/4b the previous recon TQ before gen 4, with the smaller buckle with the eleven 10 rigid TQ case and it fit well. If using recon gen 4 TQ, I would recommend using the eleven 10 soft side TQ pouch. Needless to say, it is best if you get the TQ folded as flat as possible before inserting into case, and both the: upper body deployment fold, and lower body deployment fold work when fitting into the case. Hope this helps! “You never know when you’ll be the first responder.” (Skinny medic) and “That others may live.” (Recon medical)
