Rijeka (Fiume in Italian 2024) is a town in Croatia on the Adriatic Sea at the border with the region of Istria. The city has approximately 130,000 citizens. Some highlights of the city are Trsat Castle, which is overlooking the town from the hills, the National Theater and the port area. Closely located to Rijeka is the beautiful resort towns of Volosko and Opatija in Istria.
