And the fact that Drew is willing to not let the team play just so he can get quarterback just shows what a selfish person he is! "If I can't play no one can" Yeah that's real leadership material you got there! Totally someone that puts the team ahead of himself! (Said with heavy sarcasm)!

I'd rather be the gay kid on the team, than the player who's mommy fights his battles.

The only redeeming quality Drew has this season is the way he is with his brother Adam! The way he defends him and you can tell he really loves him! Other than that Drew is a complete idiot this season! I Wish Riley would have just said to Drew's mother, "Oh yeah, well what do you think of your son threatening to out me if I didn't step down as quarterback! Basically blackmailing me!"! And Drew should be ashamed since he has first hand experience of what outing someone can do, considering his younger brother Adam is FTM transgendered and was the reason they transfered schools! Drew's mother would definantly understand Riley's perspective had he said that! Drew doesn't even have the self-respect and decency to earn his position on the team, he has to blackmail to get it! If I were on that team I would have no respect for him because he didn't earn it, he was basically given it by default and he had to scare and blackmail someone into messing up so he could get it! I would never follow someone like that! Not leader material at all!

And what sort of lesson is this anyway? Sure they did the whole "hazing is bad there are consequences" thing! But they also showed that blackmailing someone can be rewarding! That threatening to out someone when they aren't ready or do not want to be outed is ok! etc.! Way to go Degrassi for sending more negative messages than good ones!

Drew's mom...superbitch! And when Riley says he hopes it can be all of him...well, it can be. It's up to him to be himself to everyone.

@prodigychild1988 And plus he did try to pressure him into coming out. He basically said (while Drew was gay bashing him) "Come out for me or else."

I think forcing someone to out themselves is bullying whether the person doing the forcing is gay or straight. I don't know about you but in these story lines usually the out boyfriend is the one bullying the not out love interesting into coming out before he is ready and that is just as wrong. This is a life changing event that is easier for some than others. Though if you don't want to be a dirty little secret that's your choice as well

You know what? Things are getting to the point where almost everyone is totally obnoxious - and when I watch something I want one or two characters I can, well, like. But Drew is disgusting, his mother is no better, our hero Riley is disagreeable, even the coach does nothing for me. Zane is the only one who is half-way pleasant - in fact he's very pleasant indeed. He must be lonely in that crowd, poor guy.

I hoped he'd tell, partly so we could see Riley hold his ground bc maybe then whatever mistreatment Riley got from his fellow players they'd still refuse to work with the likes of Drew. Or at the very least some didactic speech by the adults that calls Drews dicky behavior out
