They didn't just make one concept, wtf. They built and delivered several of their Concept_One model, which is a finished car not a concept., they also delivered a race car called ERunner and are now developing a third model called Concept_S.

That 9.9 time is going to be reduced soon, the finish line speed was 155 mph and while the best historic for 918 is something like 9.8 seconds, it never got close to 150 mph afaik. Expect 9.6s from the One in the future and high 8s from the _S.

Electric is taking over but I don't know if I buy the cleaner part. Batteries are dirty to make and require a huge carbon footprint as does carbon fiber not to mention the electricity is not totally clean to produce.

The writing is on the wall. I already have a Lexus ES hybrid, but I take delivery of my new Tesla S next month. I’m moving with the technology (used to have a Mustang 5.0 fully loaded 320 monster). After a while gas cars will be like jalopies are now. Once electric cars have a range of 500 or more miles, it will be totally illogical to use a gas car. I’m also ecologically conscious so there’s that. I think the gov’t already has 0 point energy, as evidence by the triangle UFO’s (that’s us, not extra-terrestrials). They haven’t release the technology yet and they have probably had it since the 60’s. Look at how “space aged the Aurora looks. That’s 70’s technology. +VideoGame PX By now everyone knows that Bugatti is a wonderful car but I would not choose it because it costs more than twice the amount of a Rimac Concept. The only Bugatti I would choose is the 4 seater Royale. You need to live in Germany for the Chiron to be a daily normal car, It's the worst car to have on traffic. I love the Bugatti but for me I would not have it and stay anywhere other than Germany. Rimac is trying to do what Bugatti is doing but with an electric car. That's why I would choose their car over the Bugatti. You are right Bugatti make cars that make a statement and give reputation for a good taste. Only if money was no issue then there is no arguing with the Bugatti salesman.

It's ok, I noticed you were a little upset. The Bugatti is the only car that I grew up knowing that it would be the car to beat, my grandpa used to talk about it in the 90's till I saw an EB 110 for the first time and it scared me when it started up. It has always been an exclusive car. I hope the Chiron can go side ways (drift) since its going to be easier to drive on the track. I know Rimac can do that since it has torque vectoring. I'm just obsessed with the German Autobahn that's why I prefer the Bugatti there.

The Veyron Vitesse was scary fast, the Chiron is going to be faster and I hope it will set more speed records.

This is your opinion. The reality is, wherever there is a Chiron, it catches attention, admiration, and is perceived as an event, an art piece exposed to the public. Idk what kind of pleasure it gives you to bash someone's work when there is actually no need for it. Also, on the speed side, the Chiron is the fastest car in the world, the Concept_S would out-accelerate it up to a certain point. Track ? It's a Bugatti, don't play yourself. Plus, the Chiron might or might not be the fastest version, so for now it should be compared to the Concept_One, in my opinion. At the end of the day, the Chiron is a GT/Megacar, and it does its job wonderfully. The Concept_S is a vision of tomorrow's performance cars, but on the market right now, and it'll also do its job like a champ.

How often does a Bugatti get driven at its highest speeds - rarely because there arent enough suitable areas for this. it's what happens between 0 to 200 kmph (or about 125mph) that counts most (in my opinion). The Chiron simply cannot compete in these usual power band when compared directly with the Rimac. The Chiron is a SUPERB piece of engineering and a beautiful car, but the fact that the Rimac produces max torque from standstill...and probably as equally exotically engineered doesnt give the Chiron a hope. And the Rimac is undertuned - max power has been limited slightly.

Kaisuke971 The Rimac has 2 speeds. It's not like a Tesla that only has one speed. This car has non stop torque. That feeling from that insane g force you get when you floor a Tesla that goes away after 10 seconds doesn't go away on the Rimac. It keeps on going and going.

The Concept_S would beat the Chiron to 300km/h then the rimac would get left behind if they was enough space.

Toyota and BMW basically did all the R&D for the Tesla Model S, all the robots in the Tesla factory is from Toyota robotics, Tesla uses MB parts, Tesla Autopilot is basically a modified driver assist unit from MB...... Rimac here they want to become an OEM for the big car companies, they already make and sell parts that is used in other cars...

no, just no!! EVs have been around for over 100 years... we haven't just started to scratch the service, that was done a long time ago, EVs has been very slow for so long that no one bother with them... they're still expensive tho...
