If there was ever a location to exercise caution with, I would have to say it's this one. This is not a place for kids and pets, also the risk of falling into the water is very real at this location and that may not be a big problem in July but in the cold weather months it could end up really poorly for you.

Finally a spot I’ve been too!, Go back in late august the lake will look completely different, no scuba gear needed. Even the river under the bridge changes a little. And yes under the bridge you will find many thunder-eggs in the river!

I have heard that as the summer draws on they will lower the lake level. I would love to go back late summer.

Another destination on our #BucketListForThunderEggs! I traveled that road once on a Construction Detour. Alongside that southern route around the lake are located some of the largest Ponderosa Pines in the State of Washington. The only other trees as large are located on the southern approach to Crater Lake National Park in Oregon. Absolutely massive pine trees.

The bridge is over the South Fork of the Tieton River. It's source is Gilbert Peak of the Goat Rocks above Conrad meadows. The goats rocks are the remains of an ancient volcano. The source of the andesite ridge that runs all the way to yakima. When the camera looks east the round hill is Goose Egg Mt. Behind it is Kloochman Rock which is the inner wall of another ancient volcano.

That Lake looks like man-made with the formed edges, if so then the rock may have been brought in from other places to reinforce the banks of the lake could explain why there is so much variance in material. Just a thought

Man! I am elated to see you visit Rimrock! I've read that there are thundereggs there but I've never been able to figure out where. Turns out they were right above my stinkin head while I was searching the S Tieton last year! Unfortunately during the summer there are lots of people camping in that area around the bridge and ding dongs gathering around to watch people jump off the bridge. It's about an hour drive for me. I def want to visit soon when the river is low and recreators haven't yet swarmed. I want to find some eroded ones, might even hop up there and dig a few. Also, I want to search the rockie slopes, I've looked at them from afar and never thought that a closer look would reveal such neat stuff. Thanks for the video and all the fantastic content!

Super handy in a variety of ways, heck I've cracked open geodes and layed it sideways and mucked out small pockets with the pry bar end of these beauties.
