I think Velzard snapped when she saw Guy cry for Rudra. Guy was first obsessed with Rudra, and then Leon and now Rimuru. Shes jealous that Guy never showed that much interest in her, or say that he loves her.
Rimuru being Veldenava would imply some sad stuff though if Rimuru gets Velzards essence and becomes a digital consciousness before everything existed that would mean one way or another everyone dies and Rimuru becomes lonely making him cast away his omnipotence becoming Veldenava once again making the whole series a time loop
I don’t think that would happen to our slime boy, as he had already lived a life before becoming a slime. I think his situation is similar to Masayuki in that he is a fragment of Veldanavas soul.
@@matheuswesley7138 I like to think that Veldanava and Lucia are just reincarnating from place to place without any memory of their past lives and reconnecting with each other over and over. And then (Bam! Shock!) surprise reveal, they were Tamura and Miho from the very beginning of the story! Maybe they unknowingly blessed Rimuru with power whilst he was dying that allowed him to reincarnate or maybe it was just a big coincidence.
It would make sense if when Veldenava died, he reincarnated as Satoru Mikami and then Satoru Mikami reincarnated as a slime when he died. This would explain why Rimuru has such a strong soul.

Bro, Rimuru is not Veldanava. That whole thing of "get the 3 dragon factors and all angelic skills" to revive Veldava was a plan Michael created to try to create a vase to try to revive Veldanava, not a recipe to do so. They even say that there was a chance that they might just create a false Valdanava with this, since there was no way to recreate his soul. Also, Rimuri already got Velzard dragon factor, so, yeah, he is a perfect vase in theory, but, he has his own soul and is different from Veldanava.
I was going to write a whole ass essay but now that I think about it maybe the reason why Rimuru was created was because Veldanava was a lazy ass and said I'm going to create a mf that will fix my problems for me.

little correction Velgrynd did not have Rimuru on the back foot.. Veldora did because of his skill Faust which is essentially a probability manipulation enabling him to pierce through Rimuru's absolute defense (which Rafael miscalculated Rimuru would be able to tank Vedora's attack but Rimuru told Rafael to dodge instead) and Veldora was at that time mind controlled and was being commanded by Velgrynd in fact Velgrynd herself was barely an inconvenience to Rimuru and was quite literally being ignored almost the entire time

That's true, maybe he just forgot about that's part, technically rimuru's now had all the dragon factors and all the 14 angelic system skills and even better skills ,for example Ciel in vol 20 evolved Leon's ultimate skill metatron which was a virtue series skill
As much as I like the theory that Rimuru is the reincarnation of Veldanava it has one big problem. You see Veldanava has a soul corridor with the 7 primordial angels, so they would be the first ones to connect the dots. But IDK we will see.

For those who don't know what are saints are they are basically the highest stage of evolution of humans and they can be on par with primal demons like carrera and even low tier or mid tier demon lords (with like 1m-2m ep)
"Saints" are not the highest but it's an impressive stage especially "Complete Saint" but has not achieved divinity. The highest evolution to humans is "Divine Human" this enables humans to ascend in the stage to compete with beings such as True Dragons.

Volume 17 was made to be a bunch of short stories so it really should have been something separate but the author probably needed time to work on volume 18+
