Crazy how you read my mind. I have watched all of your videos and use them anytime I travel. Im headed to PR and Rincon in two weeks and was complaining that no one had a great video about it. Now here you are lol.
Yes, we went there as a family in June, '94. Two of my relatives from Ohio moved there for the last years of their lives, and just chilled. Had a house right by the beach. I was 19 at the time. We got to drink beers so that was great. Weather was great as well as the surf. Not a surfer and never have been. But PR in general is beautiful. Great people there as well!
I lived on the Beach Rincon puerto Rico 🇵🇷 in 1971 for many years and learned how to surf 🏄♂️ at Antonio's Beach and Maria's with 🌴 Palm Groves and Sugarcane fields ot was peaceful then I have roots in that area of Mayaguez after Maria's hurricane hit I went on a trip back and couldn't believe how much it's changed concrete jungle has taken over
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED RINCON!! It was so peaceful! My family rented a house in the neighborhood. We literally were steps from the beach. We had the beach to ourselves since the closest resort was far down the beach. The food was also AMAZING!! I wish I could remember the name of the restaurant we ate at. It took a bit longer but it was the freshest seafood & delicious. I went in 2010
@@sakhill10 Nothing equates investing, and when it's done properly, you don't need to get yourself all worked up about money anymore as it's creates alot of extra income.
As a Puerto Rican who took a trip here, I can tell you, it can be hard to get a relaxing beach vacation here. The beaches in Rincon have pretty strong waves. Great for surfing. Bathing, not so much.
Wintertime ->January - March the waves are up- then you surf 🏄♀️ but you can almost always swim at the public beach. summertime is great for swimming ❤
I'm a local and we do not refer to North America as "mainland". The colony status is a huge thorn on our backsides. Please try using Spanish. We welcome everyone, but we appreciate efforts to learn about our culture and our small country. Please remind tourists to keep our beaches clean.
@@pawshands9706 Ohh the reality LOL. Btw born and raised in PR. Saludos! Adicional cosas referente a la cultura es como que mi campo. Que suerte la tuya.
Absolutely agree me and my wife are from Boston and we have a house in cruces rincon and we luv the culture and town but nothing gets us more frustrated is when tourists don't pick up ther trash please people keep rincon clean it's one of the most beautiful places I've ever ben to
The reason why there's so many English speaking things, is because the U.S (mainland), has given the U.S citizens tax breaks to purchase land/houses/condos/etc, meanwhile the citizens of Puerto Rico, cannot afford to purchase houses/land/condos/etc., and no they don't get the same tax breaks.
My first time in Puerto Rico, I spend the majority of my time on the North part of the island. Rincon will definitely be the next place I will be staying!
My Rincon Favorites as a local: Breakfast: Cafe 413 Dinner: Taquería Vatos Locos Domes Beach - Surfing and chil Steps Beach - Snorqueling Lighthouse - See the sunset and wale watching.
Randomly watching this video and I see my brother driving back from work lol. Good video. Rincon is nice but the prices are high. Aguada is right next to it and has some nice hidden gems.
Glad to see you visited the Rincon Boricua! We love that place, but deff gotta be ready for island time. Plenty of time to walk up to the Ricomini bakery! Yum!
I moved from Rincón in 1984. Specifically Barrio Rio Grande. Selling my vote or succumbing to office politics isn’t my thing, so I moved. Now retired from corrections and living in Florida.
Absolutely love your video I haven't been there since 2005 and now I get to go as an adult for a girls trip and this was the most useful information I found so far
Moving to Isabela in July so I have watched literally TONS of PR videos and not one person besides you have mentioned the red lights. I was totally unaware! Thanks!
Iam Puerto Rican living in Chicago and will be spending a month in Puerto Rico this winter. Thank you for the video of Rincón as that’s where I’m headed and thank you for mentioning some of our authentic Puerto Rican dishes: We eat arroz con habichuelas or gandules( beans or pigeon peas), lechón, mofongo, pasteles (root vegetable n meat pie wrapped in banana leaf),pastelillos(aka empanadas),alcapurrias, Tostones(green fried plantains) and Maduros (ripe sweet fried plantains) to name a few. If you come to Puerto Rico to experience our culture, these are the foods you should be eating or trying. Pls, Pls don’t come to PR looking for tacos and burritos, go to Mexico for that. We sell tacos n burritos because that’s what ppl know as Hispanic food, and so we offer it but that is NOT PR food. Pls pass that on Walter. Love your videos!
I'm from the Missouri and visited Puerto Rico for the first time this summer and stayed in Rincon which was a great experience for me. After our trip, I've grown addicted to sweet fried plantain, seafood mofongos, and Ok Champagne Kola soda. I miss it there already 😢
@@SoyYoElMejorAmigo Yes your right about that but it's not so much of a big deal to go & get any other kind of meat!! Hey when you're by yourself on the dunes or the beach just take what you need.
@@SoyYoElMejorAmigo No I'm a Texan and yes in the state to my right 🐢 soup is... A delicacy?? It is tasty but just like. redfish we should calm ourselves about catching those turtles!
It is dirty. Yes the emissions are water vapor and it is clean but the nuclear waste is dirty as hell for 100 of 100 of 100 of years. Nuclear waste are buried or cover in cement to dump it in the deep ocean. That plant in specific were closed 3 years after opened due radiation leak, then were cover with cement just like chernobyl to minimize the radiation leak, BTW still leaking.
With regards to car rentals at the airport it may sound obvious but don’t forget to make reservations way in advance specially during the busy season (e.g. Christmas) as it is not uncommon to not be able to find rentals one week ahead of your trip let alone trying to book upon arrival as I have seen some people do.
@@woltersworld I am a local fully bilingual but love to challenge the "mainlanders" to speak Spanish. Just you know so they can have fun while in the island.
Are you aware that when you end your sentences, it sounds like you are asking a question? A declarative sentence goes down at its end. A question goes up! The school teacher in me!
FYI Rincon is one of the, if not, the most gentrified areas out of all Puerto Rico. It's filled predominantly with white Americans. It's English speaking, the only place on the island were they celebrate the 4th of July. If you want to have a Puerto Rico experience with out Puerto Ricans, but instead with white Americans Rincon is the place for you!!! Literally it feels like a Mini Florida. Enjoy (G)rincon as us Puerto Ricans call it!!!!!!
Bienvenido a usted y a todos los norteamericanos que nos quieran visitar, de hecho orgullosamente somos parte de USA....Espero que disfruten su estadía 🇵🇷🇺🇲
It's more expensive because of the gentrification and many Americans illegally buying property or taking advantage of my people in Puerto Rico. Everything has to be shipped from the USA. Prices are 3 times higher.
Thank you right on time do me a favor no blasting reggeton on crash boat beach all of your college students go home and again please go see your family
Don’t go to Rincon and bring a Unitedstatesian attitude… the culture has changes so much since extremely entitled people from the states started coming in larger numbers. Just gross
