If anyone is trying to get better Wi-Fi connection due to poor Wi-Fi connection YOU NEED THIS. My outdoor stickup cam was having a poor connection and always offline. I bought the chime pro and PROBLEM SOLVED.

Unless you live somewhere where sideways/horizontal outlets are common like in Chicago (thanks to strict electrical codes requiring conduit and mounting sideways makes it easier) then you get a light shining across the room 🫤

When it says at the beginning that “bluetooth” message. Does that mean you have turn on bluetooth on iphone to set it up? Then does that mean you always have to have your phones bluetooth turned on to make the chime pro work?

whats the volume of the chime vs chime pro - i dont need nightlight or the extender as i have mesh wifi so i have wifi everywhere - just trying to work out if to get 2 standard chimes or one chime pro - (2 standard is £5 more then one chime pro) - does anyone have a db level of the volume between the two from 1ft away - so i can compare with the ones i have now, then i know how many/what i need

I have a Ring second gen battery doorbell and it is easy to set up. The Ring pro chime is a a different story. I had it connect several times but it refused to ring. If you move to another power socket it has to be reset up again a pain in the butt. Some sounds only ring once so choose one that rings longer. I not sure what happens once the free trial finishes regarding video of seeing who has come to your door?

My doorbell Chime doesn't blink green light. So setting it up is impossible. Support page of Ring also doesn't work. The reset button doesn't do anything after 5 sec or 15 sec press.

How long is the distance that this will be affective from the ring stick up cam that I have down my driveway to the house. I have a Wi-Fi extender from Cablevision but it did not work the camera is approximately 120 feet from the house. So my question is how long of a distance is this unit good for ?

For those having issue connecting with your wifi network, try to change your network password to something different, just for the installation.

You shouldn't have to do that. I just ordered the Chime Pro because the other chime wasn't linking. I hope the pro works for me.

Contact Ring and ask them about this. Someone had mentioned in the comments that it may not be compatible with the ring alarm system.

If you can place the Ring Chime right in between your Ring doorbell and your WiFi router, it should help.

I was having problems with wifi and realised the Ring system was probably trying to connect with 5G and these only work with 2.4ghz. I turned on the guest wifi on the router with 2.4ghz and have my Ring system all using the guest 2.4 network. Works well and I didn’t realise the chime pro was a wifi extender as well. I hope you solve your issues. 🤗

I’m sure you can use 2. We’re doing a big remodel for out house right now and I bought 2, one for downstairs and one for upstairs and you can give them different names like “upstairs” or “downstairs” and other options too.

As far as i know the wifi extender only works for Ring devices.

Then I would say its a bonus but if it were me, I would stop using the regular extender and save it for other devices as the chime pro is an extender for ring devices only.
