Ring Doorbell Video Shows Suspect Pointing Gun at Couple After Following Them Home

The Wheat Ridge Police Department in Colorado released Ring doorbell footage showing two suspects approaching a couple and one pointing a gun at them as they enter their home. The couple was apparently followed by the suspects during an evening walk. When the suspects followed the couple to their home, they quickly slammed the door as one suspect pulled a gun from his waistband and pointed it at the couple. Authorities say the suspects robbed a different person minutes after this incident.

It can't be considered "attempted murder" because nothing has been attempted until the trigger has been pulled. It is very much a crime to point a gun at someone, but it's treated as making a death threat, because that's what it is. Firing it is making an actual attempt.

I don’t know if this is completely sound advice, but someone in law enforcement I knew had a strategy to employ for a situation similar to this if it’s in your car. I’ve never had the misfortune of this scenario, but I hope this may help someone one day- If you have a suspicion someone is following you in your car, keep your doors locked and make 3 or 4 right or left turns at intersections or turn points to discern if they have determined you are their target. Despite your instincts and desperation for safety, you should NEVER return home or drive through your residential area if you are certain you are being followed. Keep calm and stay on busy or public roads, not quiet neighborhoods or roads with little traffic. Lead them to a police station parking lot, or call the police with navigation details on updates where you are traveling. Even if it’s all a misunderstanding, the police will sort the issue out upon intercepting the person following you, and you’ll be safe from that point on.

Like, going into someone’s backyard if you’re in a neighborhood, or going into a business if you’re in an urban area. Try getting other individuals to help you out by calling the police if you see someone else, or just do it yourself if you can find a safe place.

Body language and expression speak volumes. She effortlessly involved herself simply to potentially witness the genuine terror, weakness, mercy, and lack of control that one would face in such dark conditions… that was due to a choice she made… which is why the two wrongs don’t make a right policy have never worked with me. (With action comes equal reaction whether it be positive or negative) which is why I can only imagine the genuine look of terror on her face if the tables were turned, and the homeowner was fortunate enough to put two rounds in his head right in front of her. I would imagine her tone would’ve changed immediately, and they both would have deserved it. But with the way things have been going here lately, In regards of the media publicizing self-defense shootings, I’m pretty confident those equal reactions will prevail in the future.🚀✨🚀✨🚀

Some well-timed waterworks and a claim that she was "forced" into it and she'll get off scot-free, and might even garner sympathy for her "unfortunate" choice. Home invasion is possibly more than burglary nowadays. In my city, multiple cases haven had the invaders take over the identity of the former homeowner(s). In one case, a pair took over the home for over six months. They kept using the ATM card for which they got the PIN code from the deceased victim. The bank account didn't run out of money because they had funds sent to it from the deceased victim's 401K account to which they had access. In a different case, invaders took over an elderly couple's home for roughly two weeks. They killed the husband but the wife remained alive at the end of the ordeal. The invaders lived there and made use of the couple's bank accounts and cards.

I was with my parents yesterday July 20 helping them at their work from a 20 minute drive and on our way home we were being followed and my dad was the only one who noticed, he then parked in a warehouse where people were working at and took pictures of his plates and he speed fast to a freeway you have to stay aware of your surroundings. The fact she was laughing and found it entertaining at what could be the scariest situation in a person's entire life with the potential to affect their victims the rest of their lives over their dangerous, treacherous actions is beyond my comprehension.
