Apparently Clock Lancet cannot freeze enemies that are already frozen, so ideally you want CL at level 3 or 4 and just stand still. It's a bit more complicated than that, but check out Aliensrock latest video: he explains it a lot better than I can.

I saw a video where a cheat was used (either to reduce cooldown, or to unlock the reaper playable character who has immensely reduced cooldown) who literally could sit still without the clock lancet and the laurel would recharge before the reaper could kill. Each minute a new reaper came out and they each just took continuous damage from upgraded weapons. The player ended up closing the game because it took too long to defeat them. It'll take an update or a serious amount of commitment to defeat them in normal gameplay.
This game reminds me of more old school arcade machines, pre mid 1990s golden era. Games like Smash TV and especially Robotron 2084. I have to try it out myself.
Speaking of Star Wars... im running a star wars DND campaign and on the FIRST SESSION the players managed to unleash a sith god, and in the process feed 20 thousand people to a hungry swarm of space bugs 🙃

in all my play throughs it doesn't matter whether you upgrade the tome first or last it is just an 8% increase then the weapons themselves decrease cooldown.
It's the same kind of neuron activation as Muso games. Number go brr with minimal input make brain happy. Imo this does it even better because most Muso games have your input just be button mashing while this makes it movement and item choice so you feel smarter for picking Empty Tome for the 50th time.

i think the reapers' HP scales off of yours by like ... x6230 ? some number in the x6k. so thats why ppl do the lvl 2 strat to kill the 1st reaper which spawns at like 1.4m HP n thats ONLY LVL 2
As far as i know he gets arround 655,350 HP per player level. So unless you chease him via MissingNo or use the Runetracer trick in liberary hes pretty much unkillable.
You're right and you're wrong... you may have underestimated it, but you were right that Santa water sux at the end game I can't see anything that's going on with Santa water upgraded. Half the time I end up walking into things
don't want to be that guy but I must here. your using it wrong. Santa waters upgrade follows you, so if your walking away its no real surprise your walking into things and getting damage if you walked the other way you'd definitely find everything dead because of it. best way to use it is stand still and it creates a kill zone around you.

There is a way to do it legit. It’s super specific though and involves not leaving up past level two and rune tracer clock lancet and some other stuff on the library level. It’s super rng dependent though
