Capcom sprite artists are above god tier. We've all played all these games many times, but when you actually stop and look at them, they're truly beautiful.

Tatsuo Hara...is the Fist of the North Star illustrator. I like how they felt the need to advertise the fact although back then most westerners would not have a clue who Hara was. Of course, the Japanese players might had recognize the name.
Fist of the North Star was one of the 1st anime to make any sort of impact on the Western market. There was Speed Racer but I don't think any Western knew of that show's Japanese origins, if they did many likely wouldn't have liked it. Fist of the North Star actually wasn't all that popular in Japan, relative to all the other anime and manga at the time.
Yeah the first didn't hit over here as good as they thought. I believe I saw an arcade cabinet for the original only once and played the super Nintendo port a bit. I preferred the originals style to this one. But then again I never saw a part 2 cab anywhere back in the day.
What would have increased the replay value after part 1 : - even larger selection of characters - more match types aside from tornado tag like rumble , back to back survival , create - a - wrestler , and story mode - stand alone and/ or cross women’s division (let’s be real , a cross division would so awesome) - a final undisclosed wrestler(‘s) , secret final boss(es) / match(es) meeting certain requirements (difficulty , streaks , etc…) - more freakin moves and specials ! Sounds like a lot but many fighters we play today and from the prime years had some or all of these and would have this game crapping on other wrestling games but probably not fire pro wrestling lol .
Was so disappointed they didn't add this to the Capcom arcade collection vol.2 instead rehashed street fighter 2 again and street fighter alpha 1 through 3 minus alpha 2 gold. They really need to stop being fucks and drop mvc2 again. I mean why the hell not

@@kdeee2428 okay I knew I had a glance or 2 @ blockbuster & video xpress myself + I wasn't old enough or money savy being so young @ da time I couldn't rent it & wen I had a chance I'd pick somthin else but I had Saturday night slam masters & loved picking Haggar or scorp 😂😭
When this game came out the 7-11 near me had it and SF 2 CE. That place was packed all day long. I think Capcom games are one of the reasons they removed arcade games from 7-11 stores. 😅
I get times change, but why can't Capcom release some hi res sprties games from time to time? What was the last original game with sprites that Capcom (or any developer) released? I just really miss 90's arcade gaming. Like really bad. 😂
