Thank you for the great tutorials, full of inspiration! I’m new to resin, and wondering if you choose resin pigment paste, vs mica for any reason other than color choice? Is it affecting how the effect occurs? I have a good selection of alcohol ink and mica, but as of yet no resting pigment paste. Not sure if I need to get that or not

When you make your coasters, do they come out rock hard? I've made some but they always end up bendy from the warmth if my hands after a minute or so. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Maybe I'm using the wrong resin? Love your work!!
You need to check that you're mixing your resin correctly. The most common cause of the resin not curing completely is not having the ratios correct. I have also had this happen if you put too much dye or alcohol ink in a small amount of resin, but usually the problem is improper/ incomplete mixing and/or incorrect part A/ part B ratios.
And just in case you suspect mixing to be the issue, one tip I received when I started was that after you mix pour the mixed resin into ANOTHER cup and mix another few minutes making sure to scrape the sides and incorporate all of the parts together really well. Hope this helps!
