We have Ring set up at our house and my father caught me coming home from the bar at 3am and scared the shit out of me when he spoke through it. Needless go say I can't be sleek anymore. Not complaining, rather be safe than sorry.

shayar HD since long ago. They check if there is someone. And if there is and they come to the door it is easier to ambush and take a hostage to control the rest than to go around checking if there are people after you break in. Either way though, such a shitty job. I hate thieves
I love ring! My family has it and we’ve caught someone scoping the neighborhood while i, a 16 year old, am home alone. My stepdad answered the doorbell from his phone and spoke to the guy but me being there felt like he was very shady because 3 hours later after my mom gets home, hes standing on the street corner and getting into a pickup truck
There is this guy who always comes by and stocks our house. This happened like 3 or 4 times now. We have ring door bell on our front door. We might need to get an other ring door bell in our backyard too. 😱😱
30 cops?! When I lived in a LA, I was burglarized, called 911... and it took the LAPD 7 hours to respond, and when they did it was just ONE PATROL OFFICER, who took down my report and basically said there was little they could do about it. Just looking at the guy's house in the clip, clearly your zip code makes all the difference in the world on how seriously you are taken by the police.

A man with a firearm that is a threat, regardless of gun safety is a danger. Take away legal firearms, you still have illegal firearms all over. They have damned gun shops in the jungles of South America and other countries, making guns without serial numbers being sold all over the world. Then only the criminals have guns, and cops and military. The problem, they good guys can't be everywhere. So it takes a armed civilian that is not a threat to the general public, only a threat towards people willing to prey on the innocent for their own gain.

alright here we go, He most likely didnt know that that was a camera, my doorbell looks almost exactly like ring but it isnt video. I have a friend who had ring and i thought it was just a microphone xD. Im not sure why he didnt say anything, good point. The camera is very obvious. You can't push the doorbell without noticing the camera. But maybe he thought that it works just like any other doorbell, where it only rings and the person can only look through the camera if he's home. Not that it's connected to an app and he can see through the camera no matter where the owner is.
yeah the police do this for a white neighborhood but never once have they done this for a person in a poor neighborhood, they will be lucky if even 1 unit responds in a hour.
