@@sandeshsingh8324 If you have already watched LOTR Trilogy, you're good to go with this series. That said, just 2 important things. Hobbit Trilogy is not that good and gets way too different from the book so it's your choice if you wanna watch it. I personally don't like that. And, as for the books, if you wanna read, read The Hobbit first and then continue with the LOTR Trilogy-then, you are free to read all the extra worldbuilding material, if you're invested in the world.

@@sivateja4942 Tolkien's world is majorly influenced by norse mythology and characters are adapted according to that in LOTR, Silmarillion, Hobbit. But this series producers are altering the characters. Tolkien did not have black characters in his world, but this people are introducing black elves and hobbits and also Tolkien's world did not have characters performing some actions and stunts. This action sequence was a thing for which even peter Jackson's triology was criticized. So you can see this people dont seem to respect the legacy of the books, and tolkien would have hated this. Sad thing is they are bringing this series in release after death of Christopher tolkien(son of J.R.R tolkien). If he would have been alive, then these people wouldnt have dared to do such things. The thing about black characters, I am not racist, but imagine bro, white people occuring in Wakanda tribes, wouldnt that be strange. Same logic is here, tolkien characters are based on the nordic tribes, and they were white there waa no doubt about that. So why not stay loyal to the basic books. After reading a bunch of interviews on it with lines like "The Rings of Power isn't a direct adaptation of an existing Tolkien novel. Instead, it's inspired by the author's extensive notes" there are more chances of it being a trash.

@@vijaypandey9761 Indeed. And the writers in todays time aren't capable of writing something as good as Tolkein. But house of dragon can be good but there is very slight chance of that. It just feels like that HBO is milking GOT. They dont exactly have a story to tell.
