Rinko Kawauchi contemplates the small mysteries of life 

Just discovering her and absolutely am inspired. I love that aesthetic of dream like photographs/cinematography since I have become a fan of dream pop/shoegaze music.

I have a childhood memory of sitting quietly in our garden on a spring afternoon. For some reason, I was feeling a bit melancholy. But as I studied the fresh leaves dancing to a gentle breeze, my sadness disappeared and was replaced by a sense of wonder and curiosity about the timeless and transitory nature of things. It was an early “aha” moment! I later became a professional photographer and in some of my personal work, I have attempted to capture that early sense of the world which I often feel to this day.
