The only way for Rio to help make a comeback is having the shuttle go to the Strip and back. I used to take the shuttle when i used to stay there. It allows people to actually stay there but also allows people to visit the Strip. Many tourists stay on the strip because they don't use cars and walking the Strip is more convenient. The purpose is to get people to STAY at Rio once again and enjoy the Resort, but tourists also want to check out the Strip. And in case you're wondering, the Rio was at it's busiest when they had the shuttle. In fact, even when tourists stayed at hotels on the Strip, they took the shuttle to Rio for food, shows, clubs, etc. The shuttle from Rio used to have Rio customers first (showing their key), then the rest would board to fill it up. The shuttles would run every 20 minutes or so up until 1am. That's how Rio can make a comeback.

Had the best Seafood Meal there back in 2005, Hope this Casino makes a comeback of some sort, the underground area is something to see similar to Caesars&Paris Casinos, you really need a motorized or electric vehicle to get around in those underground areas, great video.

The best thing Rio has going for them is the Rio Rewards loyalty program for slot players. The slot cashback is the highest in the region, and the benefits offered for reaching the Azul tier are better than most places.

Thank you for your tour of the Rio casino. It brought back so many great memories. Have not been to Vegas in years, but that was our go to place. I heard the buffet was closed and it was a great place to eat at. In watching your video the one thing which seems to be missing is the robust personality it once had.

Noticed the craps tables were closed! On Sun???? I just got a comp offer from Rio the others so nice that you did the video. The rooms have been remodeled so at least thats a step in the right direction. They also posted they will have a new Food hall opening in Jan. Once that's open and the pool is open, I will book a stay.

I used to love the RIO. Caesars destroyed it. The Shuttle would help however the Show in the Sky would draw people back in too!! Thanks for doing this. I might stay there for a few days when I go back.

The pool is under renovation and they will try to complete it around later this Spring 2024 when the weather is ideal for swimming. The new ownership understands that the pool area is one of the major assets of the Rio resort

Harrah's destroyed the Rio and its reputation. Hopefully, the refresh of the casino and hotel rooms will bring back their customers. I know we used to only stay at the Rio prior to Harrah's take-over. We took the shuttle to the strip all the time. Thought it was strange when Hareah's stopped sending us offers for Rio and instead sent us offers for only their strip properties. Seemed like all Hareah's wanted was the players' club list to siphon off the money and run the place into the ground

We loved the Rio, always staying in Ipanema Tower. I always did well playing vp, 5 royals one night. I guess I’m still in their system, sent me a new player # and room offer. The only thing back then were so many prostitutes, especially near the bar. I wish them the best, that’s going to take throwing lots of offers to their past and present guests, remodeling all the rooms. I may go back but they’ll have to give me free play and resort credit too. Sue

Just came back from 6 days at Rio. I was scheduled for 7 days and just couldn't take staying longer. Jack hammering week days going on in center of casino. No predictable running hot water in the rooms (I experienced this myself 5 of the 6 mornings and spoke with dozens others staying at hotel who said same). $30 up charge on the remodeled rooms and no hot water. As for the food court, meh. Philly cheesesteak was ok, nothing special. The ramen was ok, nothing special either. The root beer float at the hamburger place was good but the onion rings were so-so. I didn't try the chicken place but had one guest tell me he thought it was the best of the things he'd had there. I did get the wonton soup from the Chinese restaurant across from the food court, and promptly got sick. My guess is it was made that morning (hopefully) and possibly previous day(s). Dim sum there has always been hit and miss. Go when it's busy for best chance of fresh. I won't go back to Rio and think the hype I'm seeing in 'review' videos on RU-vid are more to post something rather than the reality we all know. Rio is old, tired, and fading away. It's far too expensive for what it offers. Why is it surprising there are reports of break ins. Two evenings I saw a security guard and another night a maid on the floor when they wouldn't usually be there. I'm not saying something was happening, it's just very very unusual.

lots of room break ins at Rio lately. they come in and steal everything while ppl are sleeping just a few feet from them. very skilled criminals or very very drunk guest or both.

They had a guard mid-week onwards. However it was pretty easy to get by if you really wanted. The break-ins really look like inside jobs. Someone using a master key and probably targeting guests they see on casino floor and follow back to room or look up room info. Not trying to start conspiracy theory but let's be honest, someone off the street isn't going to get into a locked room at night...

I cant wait to see how the new owners are going to fix up the RIO caesars no longer owns the Rio they are now owned by a company I believe they are called dreamscape so will see
