My girlfriend and I just left there, three weeks ago, and stayed in one of the rooms that was not renovated, but still nice, on the 33rd floor, and we had a Beautiful view of the pools and mountains.

The Ipanema tower is the original building. The taller, curved one is newer. They used to have a window from the bedroom into the shower.

i kinda remember it that way in the room on my first stay but my memories are vague. It's been a long while... yes, Ipanema is the first. I thought I mentioned it in the intro or I said it wrong? 😅

That box below the mirror was for a refrigerator at one time. I dig the dress with the sneakers look, so cool. Last time I stayed at the Rio it was still owned by Ceasar's and it needed some upgrades. Don't get me wrong the room was comfortable, at the time. The pool wasn't opened due to the time of year when I stayed. So funny, Starbucks was closed when I stayed too. So cool, we use the same camera, I totally dig the DJI Osmo Pocket 3. I will return to the Rio in August 2024 for the Star Trek convention.

i last stayed there in 2017, suite on or near a top floor in the bigger/expanded side. was there for WSOP as it was hosted in the Rio at that time. it was fine back then.. but, sadly, heard and saw it fell into almost a homeless shelter.. when they stopped the free shuttles to and from Harrahs, it became too expensive to Uber back n forth just to get to the strip. by the end of the week, you spend $100 plus just to Get to the strip and back, which isnt worth it.. Rio is fine if you have your own car, or, have people with one or meeting you.. Love this review, first timer, love the energy, and you picked my two favorite swimsuit colors,, red and black.. woot woot.. Looking great ! !

Glad you made this video i don't want to go to the rio if the main pool is closed .I was going to do a staycation this week but I'll be looking at other properties now. I think the main pool with the waterfalls is adult only as well another reason to say no the coolest looking pool and you have to be 21+

I wish all and newer hotels have big fridge, but it's small fridge and it can't fit medium to long water bottle unfortunately and bathtub.

Actually most hotels in Vegas don't have either refrigerator or microwave...and that is due to sanitary concerns.....I prefer it that way☺️

i'll add, i am getting offers for the Rio constantly... sorry,, i like too many places on the Strip.. just stayed at Mirage a few weeks ago.. ive stayed at most of the Strip hotels over decades.. from Circus Circus to Luxor.. even the defunct Monte Carlo...and all those inbetween.. MGM, Planet H, LinQ, Flamingo, Harrahs, Casino Royale, Mirage, Treasure Island, Venetian, Palazzo.. hopefully Caesars sometime soon.. hahaha

I wouldn't necessarily call this a "suite". The standard rooms at other resorts are very similar to this.

I think because it has bigger living room space, closet inside the bathroom style. If u have seen my Venetian which is also an all suite hotel, they have somehow the same format. But U’re somehow right. Living room & bed should actually be divided. Good observation 🥰

stayed there once, went to see Penn & Teller. great show, but the Rio charged a "resort fee" inspite of the resort pool and half the restaurants being closed. Asked for refund of resort fee, got a big NO! never stay there again.

Have you ever done a review of the Trump International Hotel Las Vegas?? Would love to see your thoughts on that. Some people won’t stay there due to the Trump name I hope that doesn’t bear any weight in your decision of not doing a review of that hotel. Seems like that would be a very very nice place to stay.
