Yeah Dirtyphonics is one of my top artist for example, if a Riot Ten EP comes out, i will just not listen to it (just not my style)

I've been listening to monstercat for a few years now so im curious, what song is worse than this? (and the RIOT remix that riot ten did a while back)

Stereotronique - Rhusma -I get that big room is supposed to be minimalistic, but there's nothing really big about the drops. RAIZHELL & CLOUD ZERO - Fastest -Basic drift phonk, doesn't really belong on Monstercat tbh. Caster - Grimoire -I do kinda like this, but some parts sound way too similar to Cold Hearted by Kill The Noise and Seven Lions. That one Wooli song from 2018 has the same problem.

@@xt3100 They've dropped a lot of their standards of quality/originality to focus on cranking out forgettable cookie cutter tracks like this every single day to maximize engagement. They're just like every other generic record label anymore.

I mean I disagree abt the monstercat part, but specifically for this song, riot ten sure does get a lot of flak from the community :))

This track shows that Riot Ten pays no respect for Monstercat and for dubstep scene in general. Politeness is unnecessary here, a straightforward rude criticism is what needs to be done to stop such fraudaulent tracks to be released

Riot Ten already made a song with DIESEL, but let's just say it's not very good

I also love the psytrance in this. Y'know maybe Riot ten would be cooler as a psytrace producer like infected mushroom.

after listening to the full track, I can confirm that the dogs were barking more than they could bite. 1/10 EDIT: I'm reading a lot of the comments here, people want constructive criticism so I'll add some to help. The off drops aren't bad, they provide a groovy beat to build some hype for the drops, and the vocal chops do help a lot. My main problem comes from the recurring mixing issues that shows up in Riot Ten's music. The fakeout is fine, but the drops completely ruin the flow it was going for. The drops just end up being a quarter note mess, and there is a lot of empty space to be filled up, for example a gritty sustain to maybe add some nastiness to the drop. The second drop is completely unnecessary, and I feel like it's just trying to hop on the bandwagon that riddim has been bringing back this year, and the sustain is very annoying. The drums are also completely washed out by the sustain. Overall, just like with most of their music, it feels like this track is being played at a festival 10 miles away from me, the mixing is LACKING.

@@Helkatsu-yl7tt There wasn't much variety when it came to hard dance back then. It was kinda just euphoric hardstyle and some freeform hardcore with a single hard trance track. I like reverse basses as much as the next person, but I don't want stuff where they're only confined to the mid-intro.

It’s hard for me to say anything really, because I’m probably one of few who doesn’t listen to EDM just for sound design alone. As it stands now, the only thing I didn’t particularly care for were the vocal chops and I do agree about the drops. As for anything else, I like the idea of having a pack of wolves as guardians, but I feel like that has more to do with the artwork than the actual song. So, honestly this was just ok for me. I like the RIOT remix a tiny bit better, though we’ll have to see if the rest of the EP has more to offer.

Yeahhh. I think it was rooted in genuine criticisms about songs sounding really generic, sometimes having weak mixing. But it's erupted into this ordeal where people just see the name "Riot Ten" and are ready to hate. It's a bit disproportionate lol

@@juishysushi9759 There is a thin line beetween music, and noise to me. In metal, one band is on the line : Soulfly. I like most of the songs but some are pretty chaotic to my ears. Trivium band is just noise, by exemple. And this, this is also noise to me.

There’s been a few civil comments (MGAP, yuimanix’s, mine are some) but it mostly hasn’t, and I hate to see it. There is no reason to shit on Riot Ten, none at all.

@@Yotano_MK He’s been getting better, his 2023 was actually good imo. We’re at the point where hating on Riot Ten is just a trend and there’s no good reason for it. There’s some constructive comments here but most of them are just blatant insults, and that helps nobody.
