You can blame the Maokai for the jungle gap, or the laners for feeding Bel'Veth like this. The Baws had more gold then Kennen, more objectives and honestly pretty similar value in teamfights. The most visible stats aka kda stats simply don't reflect his value to the team this game. I'm not a Baufs fan and I don't enjoy Sion as a champ designvise at all. Anyways, it's viable and banning him for a competetive and viable playstyle while he's tryharding is stupid! If anything, gold earned should be highly considered when punishing inting reports/stats!
riot not only doesn't tell you which game it was for, they give you ZERO info, the popup tells you to contact support and if you do choose to contact support unironically the only response you will EVER get is 'you are banned because you are banned for the reason of being banned and you know why you are banned so don't even try to ask what you did'

If that playstyle isn't allowed, they need other passives to compensate, otherwise you're just nerfing the champion's potential. I totally wouldn't mind a mini rework on Karthus that gets him invulnerable while he's channeling his R but remove his passive, because in 90% of cases you have to R during your passive so you guarantee they can't interrupt it. I mean, optimal strategy on Karthus in team fights is to run it down while doing damage, and similarly to Sion, since he's late game pick, sometimes it's optimal to int a kill so you get the wave in your passive. They both need reworks if the degen inting playstyle need to go.

He offers no CC (this is what you can debate for Sion) nor anything, he offers damage and damage alone. And even if enemy adc gets Hexdrinker, he can get ONE MR item, while moment you have 4-5 AP ones you still just ignore him and shred it. In CSGO once you reached a certain rank, they allowed you to review matches where players were reported and allow all the reviewers to determine if that person was guilty. Maybe they should do that for league
League used to have the tribunal for player reviews but they did away with it a long time ago. It's definitely a feature I'd love to see brought back. It works extremely well in every other game I've seen it implemented in

Enemy jungler knows Baus is free kills so they just camp him every game. The man will play with no map cover and push/proxy with 0 vision. Even if he DOES have a ward he just ignores it. I don't doubt baus' macro and skill but the amount of avoidable deaths and/or deaths with 0 gain is uncountable.
And somehow he manages to get challenger 5+ years in a row. Clearly he knows how to soak pressure and influence the map. Idk why people should be banned because theyre thinking out of the box and implementing non-meta strategies. Debatable though

IMHO the thing is those strategic deaths may no be bad for him, but for the rest of the team they become a future problem (giving early kills to a kennen and a Belveth is just gonna hurt him later obviously). If he manages to still be a threat to the enemy team after feeding his laner, it works i think. As for other champs, ironically, i think he would be a beastly Tryndamere (i think he hates him) or Jax player, w/o the need to constantly die.
He has reached a point, where he just doesn't give any fuck whether he ints/dies/dies without a good reason/watches map/wins or loses. It's also a point that many players have reached.
Yep I reached that point too after I got suspended for 7 days after flaming a trolling botlane legit in my plat promos. And since then Idc anymore lvl 0 honor drop doesn t help either. I JUSTstarted to be more toxic and afk more.
His playstyle primarily works on Sion which is why his other champs are just complete ints sometimes. Even on Sion there are deaths where he doesn't get anything from it and he didn't need to die at all. Baus is entertaining to watch but i'm glad that i'm not high elo enough to be in a game with him because it would be a complete coinflip.
I’ve seen a lot of people saying he is really fun to watch but I’m probably stupid cause I’ve tried to watch some of his streams/videos and he is annoying to me, not entertaining at all
ye idk. he has died three times by now and kennen flash is almost back up and the deaths has given him half a plate. Just half a plate. No cs (he wouldve gotten it if stayed alive) and no kills, creeps denied or jungle pressure soaked. He is masters despite his troll gameplay. Also everyone that plays as much as he does is masters or higher.
It's not really stealing as long as its transformative, think react videos. React videos be literally staring at a video, mouth-breathing the whole time and going "WOW!" and then stay quiet through the rest of it while telling their viewers to subscribe. I'd say Midbeast is a tiny fraction of a step up compared to whatever the fuck they be doing.
Baus is a good player for sure. Watching him is fun aswell but i don't think i'd want a player like him in my personally and i'd report a guy who plays like this in a lost game tbh.

i agree on the general point but as for kayle and yorick that isnt true. yorick's ghouls give hp so you become ABSURDLY strong without trying to. you can definitely 1v9 those games. kayle is an impossible matchup for her in the first place, so even late game sion just runs over her.
Everyone to some degree does that though. Just like the midlaners that don’t ward/roam, or the junglers that refuse to gank, or spam gank. Or the afk split pushing tryndamere/fiora. All of them are frustrating to play with. I don’t mind the sion mains

for sion its extremely unlikely for him to be able to do that in a lot of matchups while still maintaining the same level of map pressure as well as good tempo. also, its important to note that he averages around 12cspm on tank sion. you cant do that normally.

I think the main problem is that his playstyle works perfectly only on Sion and he is trying to force it on other champions and just ends up being useles and throwing the game
What’s happening is: He is a great player, with Sion and inting or even Gragas. After his korea trip he gained so many followers(went from 5k viwers to 20k) but most of them are normies who watch him for his personality and not gameplay. He decided to spice up his content with things like the voli and the karthus, which made a bit of sense for his style but what he is doing now with the AP Ire and other pics is purely inting to get banned for clout. Drututt and LS talked about it and it’s quite smart.
This is not right even if he says its a style. You have to understand his team always has to deal with fed enemy team, making the game super unpleasant and coinflip.
I'd say it's a fair trade though, he gets as much of a lead from CS / plates / proxy than the ennemy does from killing him. Sure, this one ennemy is gonna be fed and hard to deal with, but that's what we toplaners have to deal with 90% of our games, when 90% of kills and resources are being traded back'n forth in the botside, and we just fall behind cause nothing's happening topside, and both botlanes traded each other at least 10 kills each, as we watch and pray, powerless, that our bot happens to come out ahead. Let him trade the resources for a change, so you can feel what it's like to only get to watch and pray. And, while doing so, he's also absorbing tons of ennemy pressure you should be using to get ahead yourself, he also impacts the map (towers, counter jungling, roams), and he's also just as impactfull in teamfights. He just got countered hard this game, kennen is fucking aids AND broken right now.

@@666Kaca zonya is good against assassins, it's not gonna do shit vs kennen. The real problem here was coordination / macro imo, because baus' team kept losing 5v4 situation that baus created, because they kept splitting the fights instead of staying together, not getting enough burst to finish off the ennemy carries, and getting picked one by one. They also weren't losing to kennen and bel veth, because baus was taking all their focus and keeping them in check.

Int machine. When Riot design this champion, they didn't meant to abuse his passive like that for sure. The same applies to Karthus. You have to play safe early game, and then abuse his passive in teamfights when you have enough gold to impact the game. He's playing like dummy, you can say it's his own strategy, but strategy that gives enemy team gold and experience almost for free every single minute up to 15 isn't healthy for the game. I think Riot have to rework that part of Sion or Bauss gotta change his mind and stop dying for minions. It's not worth, esentially you''re just feeding enemy toplaner and jungler. This game is great example. His mid did okay, just played for scale, his bot and junlge actually won a huge lead. But guess what. Now they gotta face against 7 0 toplaner and 5 0 jungler. It's not even close to say that he's deaths have equal value.

This is the thing, at some point his strategy was well used but now he's just trying without looking at the other players builds, levels, and it's been MONTHS about it... So, it's deserved.
Why should he look at other people's build when he is the one who started this playstyle to begin with. Without innovation you cant move forward. If back then Baus copied other players playstyle for Sion then we will never see the current babus. It just League in itself is very restricting as a game. Whereas other game allows different strategies being use while still keeping the core fundamentals intact, League cant do the same.
He won the lane. Not deserved. Building badly is not bannable, playing badly is not bannable, not tryharding everygame is ALSO NOT BANNABLE. I am 99% sure it was the automated system, if he appeals they unban him 100%

trundle with full ad and attack speed is defintely good for him. yorick with devine or even full lethality can be very effective for him. and even jarvan iv could maybe fit him

He totally deserve that ban. Actually, this is easy to see that 70% of his deaths here are just for "fun" and "content". He died on purpose many times and be like "unlucky". Also on stream he also said "I need content", and if you check his videos, he get much more view on inting videos. His Tongue Horse account is 1k LP, and for some reason, he don't play on this account on stream, why ? Because watch less. And the only few times he did it, he had like 50% less viewers and views. I understand that he want view and be remember, but that unfair for other players on his games who don't asked a thing and play with a troll. They lost cause of him, no more.

My friend had her masters account banned almost immediately after hitting masters. First they said it was 48 hours for AFK when she never afk'd, then they said it was two weeks for "suspicion of boosting" (their own glitched out matchmaking system was (and still maybe is) letting diamond players duo queue with fresh accounts, which she did do for maybe ten games cause she didn't know it was against the rules), and then they perma'd her account cause they couldn't validate her as the original owner and she couldn't provide proof since she bought the account fresh at level 30 from a site that sells them. Now I'm not defending her necessarily cause admittedly these things are all against the TOS but it'd be nice to have some actual clarity and transparency about why certain actions are being taken. Let that also be a warning that if you get caught for 1 small thing it could snowball into a larger punishment if they start investigating your account.

He had more gold than the Kennen the entire laning phase despite the deaths. The game is largely about gold income. If Baus goes 0-10 in the first 20 minutes of the game but has more gold than the 10-0 enemy laner, who really won the lane? Every time Baus int'd for a plate, he was giving kennen about the equivalent gold of a cannon minion while kennen was also losing minions to tower, therefore kennen was gaining almost nothing for killing him, meanwhile Baus is gaining a plate + waves worth of gold. Just because you hate to see a 10-0 enemy laner on the screen without realizing they don't have a normal 10-0 amount of gold isn't a reason for Baus to get banned.

He is challenger on his off stream acc(his playstyle is indeed working) but on his on stream accounts (The Bausffs / Bosch Drill) he is always master and not really climbing, bc he is not trying to win but just plays for fun. You can see he also averages more deaths on Sion too (9.5 on chall acc and 12.5 on main acc) because he just doesn't care if its a "good death" or straight up inting.

For one, highly popular streamers always find it wayyyy harder to climb on stream than off stream, largely due to enemies targeting them in games and also stream sniping. Secondly, when playing off stream he mostly goes tank while on stream he goes lethality, his lethality build is made for dieing and going in to his passive, so obviously he will have more deaths when going lethality sion. Not to mention he will just have more deaths on average while streaming because of what i said above with the fan boys camping him.

This is actually the truth, and why riot can’t allow you to see exactly what it was. They want you to not know for sure and just play super safe/more careful in GENERAL as a response to the punishment. Because like you said, otherwise these toxic players will 100% just stop doing the one tiny specific thing that set off the system and just continue to int and grief.
In my opinion, if nobody you are playing with enjoys how you are playing, you are griefing. I would imagine that the system is also looking at reports when determining bans, he likely gets reported A LOT. If it was dota, he would be constantly banned from the first day he started doing it.
Well that's a dumb opinion. Its not up to your teammates to decide how you play. If it was, no one in Iron would climb out lmao. If someone is actively trying to win, even if its in an unusual method, they are not griefing.
It sucks, but you cannot design systems around an inidividuals playstyle. Not every game someone is running it down is someone trying to int, but asking Riot to design a system specifically for a player who consistently does it in his games feels like a really bad slippery slope. This almost feels like the ff at 15 arguments that were being thrown by players arguing Riot shouldn't implement that change because the majority is wrong for most games. As I believe the same for both cases, I don't think it matters whether or not the majority is wrong in this case, the goal of the system should be to encourage as many people to play as possible, so designing a system so a minority of players can enjoy the game through a playstyle that the majority does not enjoy playing against I don't think should be allowed. I would hope that systems being put in the game should be built around the collective experience and not for the individual.
Dying but still catching the wave is such a horrible excuse for an INT death; all these deaths are injecting gold into champions which accelerates them while his team lags behind. You don't need to be a challenger player to spot how many disadvantages this guy creates for his team at the expense of a single plate or a wave.
I feel like belveth top seems like a good Baus style. Off meta, good splitpush, scaling, high damage, and the swarm is pretty fun/funny for content. Only problem is you have to care about rift herald which I don't see a lot of from him

It's not even a discussion that these bans are monstrously unfair and unjust. Any high level player who reviews this game and is being truly honest should never come to the conclusion that Baus is intentionally trying to lose. You *can* have the *opinion* that the way he plays the game is a suboptimal strategy, that the CS, turret damage, and pressure that he's drawing is not worth the tradeoff of the enemy getting so strong, even despite the lesser kill rewards they're collecting from his repeated deaths, and that he's dying too many times. But playing the game suboptimally is absolutely NOT equivalent to 'intending to lose'. In this particular game, you can't watch the sequence where he goes botlane, kills Galio, and then collects the massive tier 2 gold reward for himself and his team from killing the tower, and say that he's trying to lose. You can't watch him move mid at 21:54 and set up a kill on Jinx and say that he's intending to lose. You can't watch how he helps get a kill in the final teamfight and then gets 2 more kills by himself, and honestly say that he doesn't AT LEAST deserve the benefit of the doubt. There's a principle in criminal law called Blackstone's Ratio, which says that it is better that ten guilty persons go free than one innocent person be wrongfully punished -- a principle Riot is no longer interested in upholding in their ban system. The fact that the "System" flagged this game as "Intent to Lose" is enough evidence to show that it is completely flawed, and banning Baus as precedent bodes extremely poorly for all off-meta strategies and unconventional playstyles in general moving forward.
I like that TheBausffs has a completely different play style. If Riot doesn't want the play style to be used, they need to change the mathematics of the laning phase.
Making someone unkillable for your team in a way akin to griefing or to a point that you’re firmly an outlier consistently in terms of deaths per value gained by many metrics isn’t a different style. It’s literally intentional by others to ruin the experience, Just cause he doesn’t do it maliciously doesn’t make it a different style. Changing the context on why an unacceptable decision decision was made doesn’t mean the parameters for what is deemed unacceptable need to be changed….
@@thereisnospoon7054 The same could be said about his team. None of them played around him. They just spam pinged and gave up. That in and of itself is "malicious" by your own definition. Just like MidBeast said, think of League as a solo game; and play the best you can *around* your bots. And no one on Baus' team did that. They played against him if anything. If you know you top laner is just going to insta-push, and you know the enemy jungler will be there as a result; that's a repeatable scenario the form a countergank around and farm the bounties being created. No one even tried that because Mao was tilted at the beginning of the game before Sion even died a single time. No one wanted to play around the top lane pressure, and they lost for it. Look at all the times Kennen was able to E away from Sion. They had a Mao who could've rooted both Kennen and/or Bel'veth to keep them from kiting Sion. There were plays that could've been made that would've changed the outcome of the game, and they never even tried. If his entire team didn't tilt, and actually tried to work with him instead of ignoring it; it could've worked out better than it did. But they didn't, intentionally. So are his teammates free from intentionally refusing to adapt? Is that not a form of griefing as well? Is that an acceptable decision by the rest of the team to just point the blame and give up? There were 4 other people on that team, and they all tilted because of the reputation, not the strat.
They already did change this in fact this inting strategy became troll and ofc who uses it gets banned. Is just baus and baus' fan boys that can't accept this strategy is pure troll there's a reason if with challenger account he only plays tank Sion. You guys are bronzes for real.
Ya but you're ignoring the 2 assists, 2 rifts, and one plate that belveth got from ganking him. Not to mention the 5 plates, 2 towers, and first tower gold they got from using the first rift herald mid. He's getting ahead at the expense of his team. But ya he's a challenger level player so he can carry sometimes. Is that not a toxic experience for his teammates? Personally I'd report him
I mean he is inting for CS. I would hope he is even or ahead in gold. This isn’t even considering the gold he fed to the other champs also. Kennen doesn’t even need more gold to beat Sion, and he built almost no resistances into it, going lethality is reportable in itself going into this matchup. What about his other int games where he literally gives 0 impact? This is probably the best case scenario of having him on your team and it was still bad. When will his fanboys realize how fucked his play style is for his team?
Like it or not, this is GREAT for the game. He does die way too much, we can't ask for them to make the system more forgiving for just ONE player, meanwhile theres thousands of actual inters getting away with it, or Baus wannabes inting away on Sion but with none of the carry talent that Baus has. It's horrible for the game. Just today, I only played a couple games and I saw an inting ass Sion, luckily it was on the enemy team and we won cause well.. he was inting on Sion. But just as easily it could've been on my team. It's horrible for the game, his accounts getting detected as inter and getting banned is AMAZINGLY GOOD for the game as a whole cause you know a shit ton of loser inters are getting banned as well. It's beautiful.
In CS they had a system where I believe GE players (similar to Challenger in LoL) would review cheat/hack reports. Now, in LoL you could be an inting Irelia in masters and have Baus or some similar challenger review your game and not get banned. I've seen games completely ruined by copycats in lower elo's. To be fair, Baus did this too in higher elo games. You cannot argue that a 0 15 rammus top wasn't the direct cause of a loss in a challenger game. Doesn't even matter which toplane or jungle champ (or both) you fed. Any champs with 5+ kills in a very short timeframe will obliterate everything.

I watched baus' most recent vid where he was trying to reform his sion kda. Bro spent the entire laning phase under his opponent's turret and goes, 'What is happening? How am I dying?'

top players on ladder have always said baus off stream with this strategy is god tier top 20 on the ladder but he is truly playing it bad on stream alot of the time limit testing and egoing 70% of the plays
@@bsherf934 I don't think it was on purpose. Sometimes players have bad games and die unnecessarily. You might say Baus does this always, but if he did consistently die in ways it would int his team, he wouldn't be top ranking. Its easy to find streamers have bad games since they play every day 10+ hours in front of thousands of people. You probably int some games too just no one sees it.

To be honest, Baus should start focusing on playing Malzahar top, fits his playstyle ... perma pushed lane, good dmg to turrets and when u die, your W+E can still ge the wave... it was made for him, he just doesn't know it yet
He genuinely doesn't know how to. If you look at his approach to the game, he has mastered a pure farm mentality that basically meant he didn't need to have the macro (yes, macro) or the micro to a challenger level to get to challenger. What his playstyle allowed was the macro for his team to become super straightforward (they know that no matter what Babus/Baus will hyperpush so they build and play around a defensive style instead of a sieging or 5v5 one). The approach worked because on average more teams can cope with Baus's chaos than cannot, they'd adapt and deal with the very easy macro decision-making of 'defend' 'depush' and 'stall for Baus/Babus'. The issue is that he himself didn't actually gain the micro at all let alone macro to handle a game where at times he has to give up farm and calculate decisions where survival itself or complex weaving in and out of teamfights vs pushes are at play. He is finally going to have to make decisions that before had 'farm or die trying' as the only solution in his head.
The fact that he has a strategy that is winnable, but just out of the ordinary should not be a bannable offense. If the game has mechanics that allows you to build up bounties, and a player uses that system to his/her advantage, why should they be banned for that? I feel like all the hatewatchers mass reporting his accounts have some influence in the system's decision to ban his accounts as well.
