Joe doesn't know the history. They had Ernie and Kenny then had to go out and get Charles an Shaq. Charles and Shaq made the show. Ernie and Kenny compliment those two.

The NBA looking at this as, if they want to give us the cash cool. Amazon is the one not looking at this through the right lens. They must not be paying attention that it was the Inside guys who made the show not the show it's self. Now if they just wanted to spend money ok but somebody don't know their business. If they did, they might have came out cheaper trying to get the people, not the show.

I don't know anyone with a cable box. We are moving away from that. In the modern era, we turn on our TV and instantly open a streaming app using a smart TV, roku, firestick, etc.

I’m more interested to see what are the new networks putting together. Especially with a bunch of players thriving on podcasts. You could build great things with those retired players.

TNT had the same exclusivity window to negotiate as ESPN/ABC. At the time the WBD/TNT CEO said, “we don’t need the NBA… “. They let the window expire. They are only suing to have Amazon or NBC take over a year earlier so WBD can save $1.5 billion. Also, Amazon uses the entire NBC studio team and producers/cameramen to do NFL. They hired the entire team from Showtime to do Boxing. Announcers and all. They will hire entire out of work TNT team to do NBA. Those behind cameras and in front.

Like all fans, I will miss Inside the NBA. But Charles is not telling the entire story. Everybody should go listen to his interview with Dan Patrick. TNT knew they may lose the rights and the head of the Network basically said they did not need the NBA to survive. They waited til the last minute to make an offer after the initial agreement with NBC/ESPN/Amazon had already been made. TNT came in at the last minute matching Amazon and the NBA denied it. Charles is looking at it from the media side and not a player, like he used to be. The NBA has to do what’s best for the business because of the contracts these players are getting. Charles would be singing a different tune if he was still a player. He said in the interview that TNT signed him to a 10 year contract worth 210 million and he is on 3-4 years into it. But said he will not give any of it back because TNT messed up. So yes, it is about the money. Nobody watches TNT, let’s be honest.

They don't have full understanding of the situation. They forgot to mention ESPN/ABC got the A package NBCgot the B and Amazon got the C package. Streaming is not the future, it's the present, cable viewership is down, that's why they went with NBC which is on broadcast TV as well as ABC. Idk if Ernie is just playing around or if he is truly honest on him not working for any other network when he could easily work for 2 different ones in different sports. But let’s be honest there were many years left on that show anyways.
