I remember when u snapped on ak about x. And as a fan of x it made me feel good to hear u like... speak good of him and defend him. He was a kid that was learning from his fuck ups. Thanks for not bashing him like alot of people did.

His whole life XXX had been punished instead of reached; locked up instead of mentored. Broken further instead of healed. Told he was bad instead of life being spoken over and to him. How much better would our youth turn out if their cries for help were answered with care and concern instead of contempt?

People love calling joe a hater, but he ALWAYS follows his critiques with advice. An OG for real! Protect joe at all cost! 💯

X touched me in a place no artist has before and no artist ever will. The emotions present in his music are (to me) the most accurate representation of depression and anxiety in music. You'll be missed X but you touched the hearts of millions. I know we wouldv'e been proud of the man you were trying to become.

I remember Joe being the only one to recognize that album's power for what it really was. That 17 album helped a lot of people.

I believe XXX was going to really reach a mass amount of people which was already starting to happen. I just learned about him maybe four or five months before his passing. But from what I have learned, in my own opinion I believe XXX's death was part of a more darker and sinister evil then just that robbery.

That awkward moment when people are against death penalty but when someone they don't like gets killed they think it's fair.

He would've been the one to change things for his generation; look how fast he was growing with no help/guidance. Homie had stopped popping pills and smoking cigarettes! He was for real about being on his Zen getting healthier and stronger; that's what makes it all the more tragic b/c he was so close and just needed more time.

"his fans are gotta be going through it" shows how influential he was in a worldwide state, especially at his age. He knew what had to be done to be a better person and to just do good because if he was so bad, you don't hate him because of what he did, you hate him because of how strong and capable and willing he was to change, and people don't like that. His death is something that I can't help think about everyday, because this world is not what it would've been if he were here. Just like me, someone else found hope in him. RIP xxxtentacion. at the time of the album 17 dropped, I had been going through some tough times with a breakup and my grandmother passing. it was like no one was there to help and I was pushing away support like friends and family. it was horrible. jahseh has released 17 and it had made me feel like I wasn’t alone, like someone could share in my emotions. i could connect with someone no matter if they’re older than me, have gone through way more, have a much bigger following. i felt like x was there for me in my toughest times. ill always come back during lonely times and times when I’m feeling low. though x has passed, his music will live on. rip x.

Rewatching this again and I still have the same feelings of sadness

I'm 36 years old but I was intune with X especially the depression.... alot of us hide it through aggressive behavior.... but when u understand something isn't right you learn to alter that behavior from negative to positive so I commend people like X and Joe for identifying with depression.

I like how xxx said, take my music and turn it into something positive. That says a lot. It shows that he knew they were forcing him to make music to destroy the people. But his words and his energy desired for that music to be interpretation in a way that helps others. He was changing Like pac...they kill those kind. They know what we are capable of if we awake in a position of influence

“This kids story wasn’t over”. That shit hit me so hard. He had too much potential. Even though people use that saying all the time after a young person dies but this kids story wasn’t over, he was only going to get bigger and do better things. Robbery gone wrong my ass. Xxxtentacion once mentioned Sheridan house ministries where he was in the boys' residential group that he really liked. Wonder what happened after he left there that the positive energy didn't continue for him. I think that was a seed planted, but never watered, and he was making his way back to it and trying to feed it, but died before he could get it's first sprout... He was spiritually finding his faith after being brought through satanic doctrine...He had soooo much to overcome.

I hate that people say he was chasing death and the devil. First of all, he was a teenager in 2016-2017. He was an "emo" and depressed so he was at a state of conceptualizing and understanding death in the public eye. A lot of teens go through that dark phase in their own ways. Whether it be through gang behavior or gothy behavior. He was doing a mix of both, he had to stay hard around the edges because he grew up around the hood and had misconceptions that to be big in hip hop you had to talk big and fight loud. Most kids get to do that in private and cope in their own ways and get help in private. Instead of help, he got jail. So he tried to cope through his music and his image. Secondly, he had other meanings behind the "speaking to satan" shit, everything isn't so black and white and literal. He was talking to his inner demons, he was talking to the corrupt world. He wasn't doing some devil worship. He was talking about his death constantly as a means of being okay with it, conquering fear of it, in case he ever fell that far into the depths of despair to the point that he was gonna end it. That was a cry out for help. He was crying out for help. But then that courage he gained from embracing death and his fears, helped him get out of that mindset of wanting to die, he was then able to talk about death as a means of preserving his life. If he made it through the darkness, he seemed to think he could elevate to a lighter side to life. And he began to walk that light path in 2018. It's sad that we wouldn't see what he could have been now that he was getting a better understanding of things, spreading love, and doing better. I hate that people talk about "getting help" "rehabilitation" and shit, and when people try to recover from the wrongs they do, we still criminalize and demonize them and keep them down in a place that breeds more wrong.
