Last October we noticed that the jellyfish exhibit was way off compared to previous and the horseshoe crabs were gone. I never have been there when the conveyor belt was working. Hopefully they get the sloths there, my daughter will kill me if not. 😢

That aquarium has definitely seen better days. I always recommend that people visit the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher instead of here. Just as good or better aquarium, and tix are $12.95 as opposed to $39.99 at Ripleys.

I visited the Ripley's Aquarium back in 2000 with Family. I don't know about them, But I was very disappointed. But went to the one in Gatlington Tenn and it was great . We were in there for nearly four hours.

Wow! Thanks for letting us know this! I am now wondering if there’s a way to find out what is shut down inside before paying their hefty ticket price for my family to go thru! I think they should display what’s shut down before ticket purchases whether online or at the facility and with this much shut down it should be a discounted rate

The Gatlinburg TN location for the Ripley's Aquarium has kinda spoiled me. I always thought it was larger and had more to see and do. I keep waiting for the MB location to get something new to bring it up to par with the Gatlinburg one, but I guess that isn't really happening at least not yet. I have not been to their Canada location.

The version in Toronto is better, typically has a working conveyor belt, and is stocked. They have a small area in a room where the jellyfish are above you.

The only time I go to the aquarium is when they have the Hurricane preparedness day and tickets are like $5. I was wondering if the sloths exhibit was open or not. I will wait but hopefully they will be open before tourist season starts so I don't have to deal with the crowds. Wait, the rays are gone?!?!

Gatlinburg is, too. That place is NOTHING like it used to be, before the fires. Wasn't there some crime, too? Back in the 1970's-80's it was a wonderful place to visit.

Wow I hope your theory is right. My first thought was they lost a lot of fish due to disease or something. I haven’t been in at least 10 years and it’s very sad to see it like this. Do they still give a local’s discount ?
