I love Mr. Drunken Potato which I originally thought was a peanut. And that wax museum is mainly distinguished by the fact that none of their wax figures look even remotely like their real life counterparts.
Jessica Alba was in the 2005 Fantastic Four Movie and the 2007 sequel. She was also in Machete and Sin City. You probably didn't recognized her because none of those wax figures looked like their real life counterparts.
Just a small thing I noticed as a Canadian, it's Edward not Edwards. I hope you will make it a goal to visit every Province in Canada. Canadians love the CB!
My husband and I have a really hard time watching RU-vid together because we like vastly different topics. But you bring us together you are the only RU-vidr we both can watch for years and years. We always look forward to your new videos!
Hey Jacob, I'm so sorry we didn't get a good chance to talk at Flagship. As you saw, I was mobbed all day lol. That's the one time a year I do a meet and greet, and it's always insanity. I hope you didn't feel like I just blew you off, I was absolutely exhausted by 1pm, and stuck around another hour and a half to take more pics, and as soon as the line ended I rocked outta there lol.
Some of the wax figures are actually from an old Wax Museum called, “ Wax World of the Stars” that was originally located where the first Wizard Quest Building was and a Ripley’s was next door in Wisconsin Dells. One of my favorites. The Three Stooges, Lucy, Julia Roberts are just a few of the wax figures that were there as some history there for you Carpetbagger and all the other viewers here.
Very neat tid bit! Love it! Thr Royal wax museum which closed its doors in Cavendish most of those figures minus the ones in behind glass in this newish wax museum all got sent back to England, all the heads in those cases used to have bodies , Alfred Hiscock used to sit in a chair leading into the chamber of horror. Neat to know these figures came from the states!
That wax museum was excellent, it had much needed signs to identify the figures, only a few had a passing resemblance to who they were supposed to be, expressions ranging from none to outright menacing, and weird wigs. All around great tourist trap and nightmare fuel. Congrats on visiting all the wax museums and Ripley’s!! Shoutout for the drunk vodka potato!
The Ripley's in the Dells finally moved and re-opened! Hope to see a video from there soon. I will be heading up there in early October and plan to check it out.
Good afternoon y'all. Jacob, I am glad you got to go to all the Ripleys out there. Also thank you so much for the adventures you give us. I know being on the road every single day can be a rough lonely go of things. I just wanted to recognize the sacrifices you make to bring the world things that 99% of us viewers will never be able to see. Keep them coming Bagger, and thank you again. PS: We do love you here in North Texas. Yeehawing till your return.😊 PPS: Drunk potatos are awesome
I'm another North Texas fan. I really felt for him visiting during the triple digit days we're experiencing 🥵. Was definitely hoping he was staying hydrated 💦
@@johnbowman74 definitely. I get nervous when it's this dry and not much rain. Some of the people around me don't have enough sense to refrain from firing off fireworks just for grins.
Congratulations on reaching a goal! Every time I see Ripley's Believe It or Not in the video title, I hear the theme to The Greatest American Hero in my mind's ear LOL Lord Baden-Powell was the founder of the worldwide Scouting movement.
Cavendish is a really nice spot theres even a water park and another park with a bunch of different rides to go on.... islander here loving the video mate good job
I love all of the bizarre, disheveled wax figures! If I had to guess, they repurposed a Teddy Roosevelt as the Cowardly Lion and maybe used Will Rogers as the Tin Man?
My favorite local carousel is The Heritage Carousel at Union Park in Des Moines, Iowa. To this day it is still 50¢ a ride. There’s also a rare classic rocket ship slide in the same park.
Thank you for taking us along. Yes its too bad you missed the wax museum in Montreal. I loved the Ripley's it had such cool displays . The wax museum was different than some I have seen. Great video Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤
I don't know how long you're on PEI, but here are some suggestions: Kings Castle Provincial Park in Murray Harbour (park with fairy tale fibreglass statues), Potato Museum in O'Leary, Bottle Houses in Wellington, and you gotta get an ice cream from Cows!!
You should be in the Guiness world records yourself for all your visits..... I wonderful advert for all these museums.... You are a great supporter of all these amazing places... XXX
As for carousels, I noticed you’ve never been to Jesse James’s house museum where he was assassinated in St. Joseph, Missouri. Next-door is the Patee House Museum which is a magnificent American historical museum with a very unique indoor carousel with only wild animals. You can ride a gigantic American eagle.
I hope you get a chance to check out the Anne of Green Gables and Laura Ingalls Wilder Museums. I'm glad that you got the chance to come to PEI. There are some great museums in Ottawa, Ontario. Thanks for sharing.
PLEASE READ, EVERYONE!! Just saw your latest vid! Your channel introduced me to every single location I have ever planned to visit. You are an encyclopedia of American attractions! I know you need some time off, so I'm going to run your videos on my TV instead of music/the usual stuff. I'll try my best to go for the rest of August, and give you a chance to take a mental break for views! Everyone who appreciates Jacob's channel and wants to boost him for a bit--post your comments in his feed!!! Let's show him we wanna give him August!!!
The wax figures in behind glass or in cases even just the heads are because they are real wax figures from the original wax museum that used to be in Cavendish, they keep them in there to be safe from the public, where today's wax museum the figures aren't 100 percent wax meaning they don't need to be kept at a certain temperature 😊, one summer a snuck a peak at Dorothy's face because she used to be turned facing out when they turned her in I had to fing out why and its because her face is covered in fingernail marks 😢 the original wax museum had a chamber of horror that scared me as a child lol
Not sure if your still on the island but you gotta go to Hotel 6 in Cavendish if you are but I must warn you its scary and there's compressed air and scares on stairs ❤😂, so estatic your here! My cousin saw you at the haunted mansion, I am extremely jealous 😂, enjoy your time! I'm so glad you took the leap!
The Newsum has 4 pieces of the Berlin Wall, Isla Magica-an amusement park in Seville, Spain has a piece because it was the sight of the world's fair. Sounds Like Ripley's got quite a few pieces as well and I'm sure Berlin still has a segment
