What you will learn in this video is prep and masking techniques.I will show you how to do realistic flames in House Of Kolor paints and using Air Sick Stencils.But the main focus will be on doing the ripped sheet Metal.Part 2 will focus more on the Metal. I have already done a video on ripped sheet metal,for beginners. What this video will show you is a more advanced version of that.Hope that every one enjoys it.

not to contradict what you are saying but I have always used a intermediate interface pad with 800 grit and then grey scotch brite pad, I prefer the miltron total scuff pads, they don't last long but your arm wont be rubber when your done

Ed, In this video you used a blue tape for masking the "ripped" area. It was thin blue tape that was quite flexible. Could you please tell the name, maker, and where I can get it. I build models, and I would like to try it for masking aircraft canopy frames. I'm been watch your videos and learning a lot of new tricks that I want to try!!! Thanks!! It is 1/8 inch blue fine line tape from 3 M you can buy it at coastairbrush(dot)com

hey ed what type of airbrush is the thats u used of the flames its looks like one of iwatas bottom fed ones and whats size needle and nozzle do u use in it . by the way nice viedo keep them comeing

Awesome job Ed.., that job came out fantastic!. like you say -1 of many ways.. out of my caliber, but I'm self learning,and on a smaller scale, I'm really starting to love airbrushing and most good laid out 3D job, is mind blowing,.. you can express yourself in airbrushing with a hard punch.. Just interesting watching you gettin it done.., and thanks for any pointers bud!!.. peace

I found the flexible tape at my local auto parts store at the paint/tape section.might be worth a shot searching it there! it really took my airbrush artwork to the next level. =D
