Great honest video. I tried the performance baffle with just my slipons and stock head pipe. Definately felt the low end, and even chirped the rear wheel at hard accelerating into 2nd and 3rd, but it made it WAY to quiet. Still want to try with my catless header now installed. Ripper sounds mean!! Wonder how mixing the baffle, louvered in right and ripper in left, or vice versa.
I've watched all your vids on the Khromewerks baffles (inserts), but it ain't over til... well ya know! Gotta try the PERFORMANCE baffles FlyAndRide! Let me tell you why... The performance baffle is really the sweet spot between the ripper and louvered. Why you say? Well, the performance baffle has an adjustable tab that allows you to tune the sound AND performance to your liking. I originally bought the performance baffle for my 2020 SG with KW slip-ons and was initially disappointed in the sound UNTIL I removed them again and adjusted the tabs. They come from Khromewerks fully closed, so I first opened them about a half inch using a long flat screwdriver. Big sound change! But I did it again and opened them up fully and found the true sweet spot of both sound and performance. The louvered baffle sound kinda has its own sound that some like and some feel it has an undesirable 'fluttering' sound (I heard that straight from Khromewerks direct). So, you really can't end this comparo without trying the Performance baffle! Are you in FlyAndRide? Love your videos - honest and to the point!
@@asoshkin It depends on what you call "half way". My tab is open about half the diameter of the pipe (where the tab is). I called that full open, because it's almost as far as the tab will bend easily. It is possible I went further than optimum needed for best performance and reduced reversion, but I just went with the sound I liked the best. I get many compliments on the sound of these pipes. Not too loud but also a nice full sound.
They sound like Tab with the zombie baffles. I’m losing horse power with the tab and the zombie baffles. I’ve been thinking about putting my Khrome Werks back on
