Very good job. Nice and easy, straight smooth cut, don't try and get it all done in one pass. I approve. There are too many videos of scrapers trying to dig to China, with the work area all uneven, and giant windrows everywhere. Thank you.
Thanks bud, appreciate you watching. Glad you like it. I went back to this site and found some D8's removing the topsoil which I hope to edit and publish soon too.
It really is huge, it's going to be a big housing development. Went there yesterday with my son and we counted 10 D8 dozers with pull behind scrapers, a few Next Gen D6 dozers, and a bunch of other stuff. I managed to record more D8 dozers, the D6 next gen dozers, and a huge CAT 352 excavator.
I wonder if Cat sold the rights to build a towed scraper to Rome? And note that both tractors were built as tow tractors, as neither has blade mounting trunnions on the track frames, or have blade cylinders.
Not so. The blade and pistons have been removed from the tractors. That mount for the "equalizer bar" tells the story. I worked at Fresh Kills Landfill for 28 years as a Tractor Operator (IUOE Local 15), we bought dozers "as is" and removed the blades to work as tractors for track scrapers or to pull Athey Wagons. Even if you didn't purchase a blade, Caterpillar makes them ALL with blades from the factory.
