They are clearly trying to cash-in on the success of Ganz Schon Clever. The box art is of a similar style, and it’s easy to think it’s part of the same series or by the same designer.
I think you filled in the sheet upside down (lowest numbers should be on the bottom), but other than giving you different bonuses, this probably doesn't have any impact on the game.
What's with the Silver & Gold box that's been in the background of recent reviews? After watching that one behind the scenes video about how you pick out props, I always notice them. That box has been out there for many videos now lol.
Isn't this pretty much a solved game? I mean, won't their be a statistically best spot to put any given number? Sure, you might have a situation where you have an equal number of numerals between two options but there seems like even then, there is very little strategy you can bring to it.
I guess the strategy is supposed to come from getting those bonuses. Like, "I know this number is statistically best to put in this space, but if I move it two spaces further down, I finish this row" and so on. But I agree, this is barely a game.
Qwixx is a simple one to start with, and supports large groups of people. From there, I'd go with either "Ganz Schon Clever" (That's Pretty Clever) for smaller groups (max 4 players) and if you like chaining stuff, rolling dice and knowing exactly when the game will end. Or "Welcome to" if you're usually more players (no real max number) and prefer the flipping of cards and a variable game end. Good luck!
I can't fathom why the Ganz Schön Clever art "style" has become a thing. It's so utterly hideous. The beautiful flip and write Second Chance was reprinted with this horrible art style as well. What could possibly be compelling about a game like this?
