Seeing this is truly awesome. The fact that this was 12 years ago and they went from playing shows like this, where there are only 20-30 people just standing there watching at a local skate park, to giant venues and fests with thousands of screaming fans is awesome and inspiring. It just goes to show if you work hard and keep doing what you love pushing forward, you will be successful. It may take years, dedication and persistence and you'll get there... 12 years is a long time but not that long when you compare to other successful bands who have been going for over 20-30+ years. It's cool seeing where a great band started to where they are now...we all gotta start somewhere!
Scott Heisel at least Methadones, but yeah. finally got unlazy enough to upload this from a DV8. 2015 me is really pissed we didn't record the Methadones set.
afacelessname Steve! Do you have a list somewhere of all the shows you booked? I'm trying to compile a huge spreadsheet of everything I went to and a lot of those shows blur together, especially the Lion's Den ones.
Lion's Den stuff may still be on an archived version of savethescene.org.. My personal list of stuff got eaten by a computer problem. I had a back up cd with the info and it no longer worked. So I lost a lot of that. I know a lot of who played, just not when. It is info I would really like to have back.
Thank you. So cool. I love everything about this. They have Todd( my fav ra guitarist) they're playing songs from rpm and unraveling and lastly they're playin in a skatepark!
I like how Tim says were going to play one of our new songs black masks and gasoline (i happen to love that song) and im thinking it was one of their old songs. I know this was from 2003 but still i would give anything to have been there.
omg this setlist so fucking beast! Almost of this setlist are my rise against playlist, especially Alive and Well Imagine if this video has more best audio quality, maybe i'll play it everyday
WTF Steve Johnson? where have you been my life since the earliest vidS of RA YOU HAVE? I guess I've been to lazy to look real hard for super old 1.ft stage RA videos THIS ONE IS PRICELESS TO HAVE FILMED in from WI and the first time I saw them was on accident or I guess by chance my girls 21st bday went to Chicago trying to find some rave we planned to go to. couldn't find it said fuck it went to a VA hall for some band I never heard of called Rise Against. thought some fucking hippy ass patchouli oil mailing mother fucker would come out and play but then these guys came out I've now seen them eight times I have I think 3 or 4 rise against tattoos on me and still to this day it's like he tore a page out of my life and put it into words in a song I can relate to every word he sings THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
I was at this show. Hanging out in the back room because I was in a bad case accident the night before. This was February 15th to be exact. I got in my accident on Valentine's day.
Do you know what camera was used to film this? The chick in the beginning mentioned something was cleaning a cassette, so I’m not sure if it was a cassette camera or used a cassette recorder to record the audio and just overlayed it on the video.
fuck mainstream music? There is a lot of mainstream style music that is really good. What you mean to say is "FUCK THE 99% OF PEOPLE WHO KNOW ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT ANYTHING."
Adriano Luz Actually his voice has barely changed. Sometimes it might not be as raspy anymore but if he wans to he can still pull it off. Screaming is still awesome.
listen to the music instead of the voice singing the words. He can't sound the way he used to and still perform the way he wants to, it just doesn't work. Take a step back and learn the basic fundamentals of how music works. He doesn't suck now, he's just different, and you don't feel the way he does. That's why it sounds bad to you.
