No Shia or Sunni.. The new generation of Muslims must eradicate these kinds of divisions. Let us uphold Quran and Hadeeth.. That is enough to live as true Muslims. Let's forget and forgive the past and people involved in..
Salahuddin Ayyubi Rahmatullah Alaih fought relentless wars against crusaders until even his army refused to continue fighting. His determination for Islam and honor has given him the rank of warrior of Islam that will live forever. On his tombstone is inscribed , Ya allah open the gates of paradise for him, as he opened the gates of Aqsa for the ummah
So are you saying that only salahudinn fought for al Aqsa or it was a cause that re united the muslims. You are exactly what Yasir qadhi is describing.
Very interesting discussion. Sheikh is spot on , zenji and shirkuh instrumental figures in reestablishing Muslim control in the Middle East during the crusades had interesting backgrounds, hardly the model Muslims you would usually think of. Shirkuh was an amazing military commander.
Looks like they heard our comments about wanting more historical series from the brother and Shaykh Yaser Qadhi. All Praise to The Most High. بارك الله فيكم و من احببتم
The day was 2nd October 1187 in which the first Jummah was held after 88 years at Al Aqsa. The whole compound was purified with rose water. Jersusalem was the lost camel of the believer according to an excerpt from the Khatib of that Jummah Khutbah. May it return to our hands again sooner .
Shekh is intelligent and understands what's happening . If our youth today gets closer to religion by following people like Khabib or someone like Andrew Tate, let them be rather than leaving the deen.
There’s nothing wrong with Andrew Tate or khabib, he (Tate) explains how western societies just indulge in degeneracy and not discipline Tate is new to Islam so he has a lot to learn including Islamic history
These history khatiras are my absolute favs. I love learning from sheikh YQ. I've always been curious about Salahudeen Ayubi and only heard bits and pieces of his story. May Allah bless YQ and other teachers.
OMG! Can't contain my happiness really. SubhanAllah! I have been looking forward for a lecture about Salahuddin Ayyubi for a while now from esteemed scholars i.e, Dr YQ. Lots and lots of duas to you Dr. YQ and Epic team. Love you guys so much for the sake of Allah, you guys made my day🤲🙌🤲
He turns to crusades because they kill the haj performers and not led them to pass through jerusalam, even though they capture and kill Ayyub's sister too who travel for Haj. More detail see the movie KINGDOM OF HEVEN.
This lecture fits well within the maxim of Sheik YQ's " Islaam as a religion is divine but Islaamic history is human". But at the end of the day every thing boils down to " end doesn't justify the means". Allah ( Jal) is the ultimate and the best Judge and we leave everything to Him and Him alone.
I wish that this lecture reaches those who are bringing the past of Imran Khan to get him disqualified, from the days when he was not close to deen. That man as a prime minister raised his voice on a global forum about the honour and love of our beloved prophet Mohammad saw and and what it means to us. How the blasphemous content hurt our hearts as an Ummah and made a huge impact 😢. In his home country he is facing all sorts of challenges with such dignity but the opposing forces are being as stubborn as can be. They are trying to use any personal shortcomings that he had and even not shying away to call him ‘yahoodi agent’. SubhanAllah! May Allah swt open their eyes to see the truth. Ameen
Bravo again Br. Yasir! Thanks to you, I am now assembling videos on Islamic History. May Allah bless you for your tremendous efforts. Greetings from Senegal !!
Please make sure you get ALL of his lectures regarding history and sort them out correctly on a playlist if you can, because Wallahi they are priceless! So many people can learn so much about history from another perspective than what most people are usually taught unfortunately.
A serious dose of reality vs idealism. I concede & concur, but I need to know more now, it's got me interested. May Allah SWT increase my knowledge to that which is beneficial.
What an amazing remarkable khatira. May Allah reward you tremendously brother Yasir Qadhi, I love all your beneficial amazing khutbahs, lectures, and khatiras. May Allah swt guide us to the straight path, Ameen 🤲
The reality of politics!! Heroes and legends were not saints or angels... Absolutely brilliant...many types of lessons to learn from the past A must listen 👌
MashaAllah Tabarakallah. Been eagerly waiting for this history lesson. One of my favourite muslim heroes while in high school. Tks so much shaikh for your bountiful knowledge.
Shaeikh... Really understood.....👍 Some powerful young muslim leader is Consolidating the Muslim World even though he is been accused of some murders, deviation from the religious fold and many more...!!! But as you said politically he is doing a very very important job that is "THE CONSOLIDATION OF MUSLIM NATIONS"... Inshallah... We will be united as in the Times of Khulafaurrashideen, or in the time of Salahudheen ayyubi.... Insha Allah👍👍👍
Extremely beneficial! JazakAllah khayrun Sheikh Yasir for always imparting your amazing wealth of Islamic history on us! These historical books are not readily available so getting these short khatirahs from you are super helpful!
"That was a people that hath passed away. They shall reap the the fruit of what they did, and ye of what ye do! Of their merits there is no question in your case". Verse 134, AlBaqara. May Allah reward Salahuddeen Ayyubi with the highest rank in Jannah and may He guard our tongues from peaking ills and insinuating evil against the chosen servants of Allah who He put forward to uplift His Deen and protect the Umman Ameen.
He was building an army! He was building a strong army... he didn't have a short term goal...he knew he needed a solid army to conquer baitul maqdis and Allah blessed him with the knowledge to do so..united we are strong....we need the great warrior salahuddin al ayubi again..
What a great lecture. Never thought or heard about Salahaddin Ayubi. Never knew Noor Udine and Salahaddin were against each other? It is an eye opner lecture. جزاکم اللہ خیرا
MashaAllah..May ALLAH swt bless and protect the Shiek and his Jammah and all Muslims in wherever place. The Sheik and Jammah, to my humble mind, is so really good to have that blessed forum of good education about Islam. Muslims, esp. young Muslims, should know genuine history of Islam, Muslim leaders, the memorable events, practices, ethics and everything possible. Who will be the next Salahudin Ayubih to unite Muslim Ummah and make unforgettable history of victory for the sake of Islam? Subhanallah. Alhamdulillah. Allahu Akbar!
Jazakallah khairan Very informative and interesting history in the most beautiful explanation. May Allah bless you with abundant knowledge, peace and mich more. Ameen.
Please give a historical account on how the saudis came to power. Maybe it's their attempt to re-write history but there's a lot of disputes regarding this
Jazaaka Allahu-l khayra ya shaykh I have understood you well I too dont like politics but i agree that we cant live without it I am your student from Zanzibar
Dr Qadhi, what an insightful and powerful short lecture. You know how LinkedIn shows everyone always, “onwards and upwards” while we all know nothing is ever onwards or upwards without bumps, dips, pits and circles. This is how KG level understanding and simplistic worldview of 1.8B people have to evolve through the much needed reality check. This summary does exactly that.
I used to be Shia alhamdulilah no longer. Once you understand the politics you understand Shia is more of a political movement rather than a religious one.
Subhanallah Subhanallah Knowledge is flowing Over ...Wallahi Brothers Sheikh Yasir Qadhi is undoubtedly One of the frank and truth Alim and truthful... Every lecture Every Khutbah of him is full of ilm ...
JazakAllahu Khair sheikh. This subject has been massive discussing point amongst me and some of my friends. Islamic politics is something that is so misunderstood by many muslims and non-muslims alike. When the Ummah is broken, as its is now, sometimes things have to be done by the one who wants to unite them that may not be a favourable in the eyes of many scholars. Salahuddin (r.a) did what he did to unite the Ummah & to bring back the honour and the lands to the Muslims. Unfortunately politics will require such figures to do things maybe in the start that will not look favorably in the light of Quran & Sunnah initially or it requires a deeper understanding. Unfortunately the reality is that politics in such a environment, as Salahuddins time and more so in our times, may not allow righteous leaders to get away without being tainted with errors. It would be wrong, I believe, to think that harm was intended by such controversial figures or decisions that are seen controversial. Like the sheikh said Salahuddin had idea of what he wanted to do. Reminds of what shiekh ibn taymiyyah said in his book "Diseases of the Hearts and its Cures" regarding the soul being as close to the ideal of a perfect slave rather being a perfect slave. Not to say that sins and errors are allowed but rather try your best to erradicate & minimise your errors, at the same time asking for forgiveness for those errors that remain. Like you shiekh I can never be a politician the water is too murky and I think I will mostly likely end up with anxiety out of worry how I look in front of Allah. Allahu Alim. May Allah reward Salahuddin and forgive him of his errors. May Allah guide our leaders and May Allah unite this ummah with another man like Salahuddin. Ameen
We have a lot of resources these days for Quran recitation, tafseer and even hadith. Unfortunately there is not much structured classes/ resources of Islamic history. Until our youth takes interest in history we will remain in this bubble of idealism. Although there are not much similarities but throughout this lecture I kept thinking of Imran Khan.
Thanks sheikh, this is the reality, We may not like it, but its what its. May Allah forgive and have mercy to our brother Salahuddin Al-ayubi and to all our brothers and sisters in Islam.ameen🙏🙏🙏🙏
The shaykh is speaking with encryptic language,, sometime we need background knowledge of what happened in the world to understand some of his saying, actually it is good, it compels us to be aware of our reality, what a level of educating people not only tell us the information, but also make us thinking, May Allah Swt guide us and bless the Shaykh
Great lecture! We see two contemporary examples in Erdogan and Imran Khan of politicians from which to learn lessons. One of them has clearly done things that are questionable but has remained hyper aware of his detractors and opponents so he can stay in power. The other failed to keep his eyes on his opponents and saw his power swiftly taken away through bribery, threats and siyasa. Cunning and guile are requisites of successful politics in the dunya.
We wish and can hope another future leader will come doing much better, the awareness of islam in our youth is increasing compared to 20-30 years ago, if those era can produce the like of erdogan and imran khan, i pray to Allah Swt that in this generation will produce a lot of talented muslim leaders and politician in the future, insha Allah the future is going to the right direction
Shaykh please resume the stories of the prophets...I know you have all the time in the world but am afraid Isa a.s will come back before we finish the series lol JzkAllahu khayran
Salah Diin was a very pious man who loved the Quran and read everyday. He had great scholar by the name of Qadi Al Fadil who was his confidente and he did alot to make sure to liberate Qudus. Salah Diin was not power hungry who did what politicians do and he didn’t leave his family money and palaces. May Allah forgive him and give him the Janatul firdows insha Allah.
I think Yasir Qadhi's point about the human faults of our hero's is so important because some of us feel as if we can never be like them because of our faults.
