Coming here from your announcement video. As a writer myself who has been struggling to put my heart back into it, there's so much I could say about this. But what I want to say is congrats man. I will be listening and sharing this with all my friends. I also think it's great how you are releasing this as an audiobook. That really speaks to the love you have for your world and your characters, and i admire that so much. Thank you, and I hope the world opens up even more for you in the days to come.
Having now listened to the series, I can't think of a character that fits. Lots of loose ends were tied up but many more remain. This is something I totally forgot about. Maybe I just missed it.

When I heard that you were going to release the book in audio form, I couldn't wait to listen to it. I admit I'm aleady tired of the "found friend high school drama trope", and was mortified when this story was going to take place as far back as middle school. But I can tell that you literally spent 20+ years sanding these characters to perfection, as I found myself liking all of them already.
Really enjoying so far a nice easy intro to the characters and world. I don't know if u have time but would love some character and landscape illustrations to go along if ur up to it. Regardless can't wait for more!
I am halfway through. The story is interesting even tho it started fast. One thing I would suggest is to slow down on the pace a bit when narrating by accentuating some pauses. This is especially valid between chapters. Imo, a 5 seconds to take in what happened during a chapter can go a long way. Maybe my comment is ironic since my English is not on point, but I'm French. Good luck with the sales! 😊
The irony is his narration on all other vids is ideal, maybe its the inclusive animations? But I agree with you that he's too fast, and somewhat monotone. Must be a unique skill for audio books Vs vids, who knew.
I want this one to be the first audio book i will finish in my life. Y'know, i always wanted to start working on a "franchise", more specifically a series of books i really think about all of the time. I've been on this for years now, since when i was a little kid. Ironic thing is: I've never finished, barely even touched a book before. The only times i've read a book before in my life, was when my mom buyed for both me and my brother the whole series of books of harry potter as a present. I never even finished the first book, so my brother took and stayed with them. So, i thought to myself, "how can i possibly create a book series if i have no experience in books whatsoever? I bet i can't even write the first paragraph". But now, i feel motivated to keep going, to make this long lasting childhood dream to come true... And maybe, by hearing this audiobook completely, it may give me a starting "guideline" so i can base my writing off... Oh, what am i even talking about?
The word buyed is not a real word, its a street slang at best. The correct word is bought. Mom bought the book for my brother and me. Same deal with Y'know < not a real word, could only be used if characters in a book were saying it, otherwise it can't be used, since its not a word.
@@kimsland999 "buyed" is indeed not how you form the past tense of "buy", but it's not the same deal with "Y'know" at all. That's just a regular contraction, and dictionaries do list it as a word. The only problem with using it outside of literal speech would be that it's for informal speech, but not all books need a narrator that always speaks formally. It's just a stylistic choice.
Although I have enjoyed the animations and POV podcasts, I was unaware of your novelist pursuits. I am listening to this first chapter as I write this and it seems very well written so far I look forward to enjoying your work, much as I have in the past. omg this was awesome. I felt like a kid again reading a story I found in the library but this one feels fitting for any age as well as possibly help lots of kids understand more about the duality of kids and humans overall. The little white lies, the added context to certain kids situations, and the main Archer being so smart and cunning. This feels like the start of all those magic manhwas where the mc doesn't have what 99% of population has so they end up a batman like character, relying their cunning a strategic ability. Holy fuck I can't wait for the rest of this. I wish I had the money to buy the feel ting.

I’ve listened to the audio for second time last night and I have a humble question about it. It left an after taste in my ears like “THUS SPOKE ZARATHUSTRA” Was it intentional that you chose this form or I’m totally wrong. Any ways I love your intro.
