@James Arnett My first play with new heroes and a villain, so there's going to be a learning curve. And I think all the new villains have some new tricks up their sleeves. So excited for 5 new villains, and I like the way the two new heroes work! :)
Glad you played Crossbones! I think new more villain scenarios was way overdue. I think the community response for this game has been super positive. I really loved how FFG integrated a comic story element in the campaign mode. My opinion, I think they made it super thematic in a comic book setting and also the fun factor is off the charts. I'm looking forward to finishing this campaign up, and seeing if a true solo expert mode with expert campaign with Captain America is doable, of if he'll need a team-up.
I really like Crossbones' gimmick and how he gets more and more weapons. Adds a lot of replayability with the randomness of the experimental weapons deck
@Flame of Udun And the story line explaining Hydra was stealing weapons, and now I have to deal with each of those weapons that I "let leave" the facility for the rest of the campaign! A very cool gimmick indeed!
@Tony Bowers Even thought he has several schemes, he can push through them quickly, so if he gets you at a disadvantage early, he is hard to recover from. Good luck on your next play! :)

Good news here...I finally got lucky and was able to get me the only available Dr. Strange hero pack. 😁 It should be waiting for me when I get home from work. In the past I had to buy the base game and green goblin expansion from the U.K. and a few other hero packs from austria, because they are so rarely available here. Keep it up with your channel. Great video. Really enjoying all your play throughs. I’m now in the middle of battling Taskmaster, using Hawkeye and Black Widow. Need lots of room for all their meld cards! After some somewhat easy wins, a I’ve switched to expert mode.

Board Game Geek community found an error in villain deck build. Rule book says “Hydra Assault”, main scheme says to use “Hydra Patrol”. Just a heads up to viewers. You said that FFG confirmed that “Hydra Assault” is correct. Thanks for mentioning that!

Great game and I agree with the switch back to normal counters for video. I have struggled with should I shuffle after Hawkeye’s quiver searches. All other searches say to shuffle but this one.

Hey Dale, I know this is a year old, but I was reading the updated rules you posted in your storage solution video (thanks for that!) I love using Hawkeye and just found out that when you use quiver to search for an arrow, you’re supposed to reshuffle the deck. I never knew this! I noticed you didn’t do this in your videos, just wanted to give you a heads up in case you didn’t know either (you might now though since it’s a year later)
@NTQ03 Thanks for watching and the clarification. I think I've got that fixed in future plays. The hard part of changing rules, is my mind remembers varying rules, but not which is the right one at the time. ;)
Hi Dale, I recently got into this game and your videos are fantastic. One quick question, if a villain activates against me (hero form) and all my characters are exhausted, does that mean my only option is to take the damage? And, If a card says the villain attacks me but I am in Alter-Ego form, what would happen? Thank you!
Thanks for watching! If you get attacked and can't defend, damage goes straight against your identities health. If the villain were to attack and you are in alter-ego form, nothing happens. Just note there are cards that do let the villain attack your alter-ego (but it is stated on the card). Hope that helps, and happy gaming!

I've made the switch over to Dragon Shields using their clear matte brand, and store all my cards for this game in two separate cardboard boxes (a 3 row for all the heroes, and 2 row for villains). Since making my "storage" for this game video, I've had to add another deck box for each aspect and also added toploader dividers for each modular set - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ytduZy-BLEo.html . The core box and Red Skull expansion box have only been kept for "decoration". :)
I'm so excited for this expansion (or module, whatever :P) ordered it, will receive by the end of the month ;) Since my group has met this game with a really lukewarm enthusiasm, I've been playing it mostly solo, and I must admit I like it. Controlling two heroes is not that difficult and, let's face it, I have only myself to argue with ;)
Great video again. That was not as close as I thought it was going to be. Well done. Watching this a day later so Scenario 2 vid is looking at me, lol. The campaign box looks great so far. On a side note I played with Dr Strange first time last night. He’s great but I lost the first game against Standard Rhino!! Second time around I beat him. Lol. In your opinion what is the best aspect for Dr Strange?
@Ragnot Greymane Rhino can surprise you at times, especially with only one hero! Dr. Strange is one of the few heroes that I believe can deliver with any aspect, mainly due to his card draw abilities. And with that said, he has the potential to pull off Avengers Assemble with more accuracy, so I'd say Leadership. His base cards are very flexible along with his invocation deck, so can deal with damage, schemes, being attacked or whatever the game may throw at you regardless of the aspect. He is also the best support character in my opinion for multi-player games. Good luck, and thanks for watching! :)
I went with 'Emergency Teleporter' for Hawkeye. Brought in Goliath for free with tough at the start of the next scenario, which worked really well. I selected 'Laser Cannon' for Spider-Woman, which I didn't need to use against Absorbing Man.

This is my first time playing, what the heck do I with the elektra hero card? It says nothing in the booklet about what to do with her. Does she go into the villain draw deck and is added to the person who draws her on the villains turn?
The 4 “captive” hero Allie’s are only used in the Taskmaster scenario. The main scheme card or section in campaign book should explain them there. Hope that helps and happy gaming!
You need to keep the pace up, as Kang is out in a few weeks lol (I wanna do an Avengers #8 playthrough against him ... Wasp, Iron Man, Cap, and Thor ... at the end of the year, same as I want an Avengers #18 team early next year ... Cap, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver) ... nice playthrough against Crossbones btw!
@canadadoug I'm trying to put my deck construction at the end of my videos where I don't use the pre-constructed deck. I'll try to discuss more strategy in the future on cards that I put in there that aren't the "essential" cards for each aspect. Thanks for watching! :)
@David Ko Those are powerful combos to get off and let's you flip when normally you wouldn't just for an extra card and avoid the villain doing anything for his base attack/scheme against you. :)
Thanks heaps Dale! Great game sir! I think they made a mistake making Hawkeye attack of 2. With the crossbow his attack is 3. I tend to favour attacking with him rather than actually exhausting him to ready his bow.
@vanzetti7 And with the opportunity with Combat Training for a base 4 attack! I'm with you, unless you really need to stun, or confuse the villain, or you have 2 of the arrows that do 6 damage he'll be swinging for 3. Until someone gets retaliate, then maybe the bow again. ;)
The last 2 games of the red Skull campaign I just didn’t seem to have enough resources to play two arrows in one turn I was favouring Allies, so yeah I was swinging away with attacks and firing one arrow. We got really lucky and dusted Crossbones and Absorb man really quickly.

@writerguy 911 I had been using Fantasy Flight sleeves for about a decade, but after they were discontinued I have settled on DragonShields Clear Matte. They are a bit on the expensive side, but fit the cards well and actually feel better in my hand. I re-sleeved my collection this weekend. I did leave the villain and main scheme cards in the other sleeves, so there is a different feel to them in case they get mixed into the other cards, they will be easier to find (the FFG sleeves are slightly wider and taller. @beholdthestorm Oh, it has exploded ... and it wasn't pretty. But with 2 new heroes and 5 villains to play before the next expansion comes out in a month, it had to be risked again. ;)
@Daniel McMillan I love the Burger Tokens! I just received a few comments that they were more difficult to view in the video's, especially the threat, so I went back to the original for recordings. For my game group, we will use the Burger Tokens. They are just easier to work with. Thanks for watching!

@Andrew Moulton Good luck! Using the pre-made decks will be quite a challenge!! I just used it for this one. Typically with two heroes I want one with Aggression and the other Justice, but since Spider-Woman can do both (a little bit), I'm hoping to keep Hawkeye Protection just to utilize keeping allies in play to take the punches and help fight and thwart as needed. But depending on the scenario, I may want him to go full Justice for thwarting. So with leadership, more allies, Avengers Tower to increase the ally limit, and Make the Call to keep allies in play. For Spider-Woman, I want to keep low cost cards, and I love Relentless Assault since there seems to be a lot of Hydra soldiers popping up and of course For Justice on the Justice side. @Andrew Moulton Leadership has some tricks to getting multiple attacks out. Avengers Assemble and the new Earths Mightiest Heroes are good cards to have ... although I never seem to have resources to pay for Avengers Assemble, and if I do, I don't have any allies!! lol

@aSyphodias Poor interrogation Room is right! The new ruling of "you" meaning your identity card really limits this card. I hope a more involved FAQ comes out about cards and when "you" can mean "characters you control". :)
@@DaletheCasualGamer Are you sure? In the latest rule (I think 1.3) it states: In Marvel Champions, each player takes on the role of a Marvel Hero, represented by the identity card. Essentially, the player is their identity card while playing the game. • While interpreting card text, if the word “you” can be interpreted as referring to the player, it should be interpreted as such. For example, Interrogation Room reads, “After you defeat a minion, exhaust Interrogation Room...” Any time the player controlling this card defeats a minion, the ability may be used. • If a specific character is required to interpret an ability using the word “you”, the identity card is the character that must be used. For example, Toe to Toe reads, “Hero Action (attack): Choose an enemy. That enemy attacks you.” As attacks are directed against individual characters, “you” refers to the identity card of the of the player who played this event.
@aSyphodias FFG made an "unofficially official" ruling in May changing it and stating they would be updating the official rules in the near future. You can see that at hallofheroeslcg.com/official-ffg-rulings/#you I think the intent of the card was not for the identity when it was created, but they are trying to figure out a way to deal with the ambiguity of "you" now. Hope that helps! Either way, I'd choose Beat Cop over Interrogation Room any day for my constructed decks. :)
@@DaletheCasualGamer They are making it more confusing imo. The card becomes completely useless like that. I think I'll just keep using my own common sense for now to choose interactions. All they have to print is: you should mean the player / your hero means the identity card specifically.
Agreed. In my play group we’d allow “roleplaying/home rules” ... but online, I’ll try to keep up to date with rules, or do my best with the rules and adjust as I hear about official interpretations. That ruling does basically make that card useless.

Il always found thematically strange that Hawkeye, with his bow, has the same strength than Hulk. No hero should have the same strength so easily. That makes me think that Hulk is a weaker hero.
I think you made a mistake in the set up. You have to set up the villain before the heroes. This way, you have some information on what to discard for the heroes or not. You played the hard mode again!
@Matus Sedlak Can't believe you can tell from a video!! haha. They are now my "official" Marvel Champions sleeves. I kept the villain and main scheme cards in the FFG sleeves so they are easier to find if they accidentally get shuffled in with the other cards. :)

Each ad block has two, and the first is not skippable. One or two sets is pretty standard, 4 (x2) is a bit overkill. Also, yes, beyond that I did enjoy the video and content. Based on the amount of content you upload, I'm surprised you monetized them as much as you did.
To be clear, I have watched several of your solo videos, not just Marvel Champions. I found the content and presentation enjoyable and would continue to look for them. Just wanting to provide feedback on your monetization choices.
Much appreciated, and I appreciate the feedback. I'll definitely evaluate as I move on. I wasn't aware of the double ad blocks. As for the ad income, I make pennies on the hour when looking at time spent making and editing videos, so it's nice to see enough revenue to be able to buy a marvel expansion and another game every month from this, as I'm not being paid by companies to promote their product or even receiving free product. And with the job situations from COVID ... every little bit helps. Thanks again, I appreciate positive feedback on ways to improve the channel experience. :)
