Man, I wish I could get the perry down in this game. The timing is so hard to judge. Wish the skill tree had something like Sekiro did to tighten the window. Block and dodge have been my crutches so far. Which I'm not that far into the game.
It definitely takes a bit to get used to. Especially when enemies/bosses has super fast red attacks or slow as f*** delayed attacks. Just hang in there and I'm sure you'll be able to parry like a champ! :o)
@@xHolmesWalkthroughsx7 I’m talking about the white shine that shows when an enemy does a red attack. It looks like that’s when you’re supposed to parry but it’s not, that’s what throws me off
I have not yet tried this boss but this mission is actually my next one. I have seen videos of this one being difficult (especially on Twilight which I am on). As someone who has died countless times in Nioh 2 and got one hell of a training in the Underworld floors, I am confident I can beat this boss in 30 minutes hopefully.
Great vid..Question from a Sekiro player. In Sekiro the counter window on unblockables was when the Lettering flashes and the second it was off screen you the initiated your counter. I'm on the hardest difficulty on Ronin and really struggling when to initiate a parry. Any tips?
The unblockables in this game sometimes have delays to them. They don't always attack right away after the red flashes. So you gotta parry the moment you see them move/swinging.
@@xHolmesWalkthroughsx7 Thanks man. Finally getting better. Trying to figure out a build that does maximum ki damage because i really love causing stagger and the enemies RARELY lose their Ki bar.
Fr I beat her in my third try an I was playing it on normal don’t get greedy when her health bar is low fight smart switch character since he got a gun I recommend don’t play this game like a ronin or a samurai u gotta be dirty use all ur tools the guns come in handy an the bow
I'm level 15 on the hardest difficulty and she's absolutely wrecking me. I've gone all the way to NG7 on Sekiro but the timing on parrying in this game effectively and consistently still alludes me.
You don't need to press L1 to parry. Just hitting triangle as the weapon is about to hit does the job. Keep in mind weapons and their combat style changes the parry window a bit. Guarding on twilight difficulty still depletes a lot of stamina and only works to parry the last hit on other difficulties. Your guard will break before the last hit on twilight.
