To clarify, DO NOT SPARE THE RED DEMON, KILL HIM, THEN GO BACK AND LET HIM LIVE. you'll get the style with his death but you cannot level it up until later when you complete "the watchman" quest and meet the blue demon
@@nmxosa i think you have to use the testament of souls at the longhouse, retry the mission ,then spare him n then it should give you the option to change the timeline
@@xHolmesWalkthroughsx7 😂 yea that one doesn’t sell gifts, but I’ve been able to buy gifts at the gambling den, Sakura inn and the other special vendors where the shogunate base is. Gambling den has the most gifts but gotta use tokens
Wellbits optimal to have a stance fir each weapon type. Shinobu will always be "ineffective" but it's like that to balance out it's parry heavy gameplay.
For some characters you have to train with them in a dojo, and receive the rank of novice or higher, in addition to ranking up their bond. Maybe it's the same with him?
I spared Ii the first time and immediately went back to kill him just to get the style. Didn't have it reflect the current timeline so I could still upgrade it later, I think. Here's hoping..
Famously. Still have the style after doing so. I was offput by the fact that Ii was still considered dead when I was in the dojo, but I checked the encyclopedia deal and remembered death was his fate either way 😅 Timeline still matches up, so I'll be able to upgrade.
@@xHolmesWalkthroughsx7 yea but sometimes I can’t grab them, they either recover their stance and block the 3rd hit and uppercut or they are too far away thay even my uppercut land on them but didn’t grab.
It's kinda late, but the best way for me to do it is to weight until their really low in Ki, and do the spin before they enter stagger state and it the spin will pull break their Ki and you gotta press the skill again and you'll land it
@@crimsoncenturian5625 they just have to be panicked or 0 ki, panicked is when their health bar is glowing red, panic lasts longer if you counterspark with the correct style or a ninja style
I spared the red demon, after that saved the timeline and I went straight to Edo, did I make a mistake? I don’t see the watchman mission. Edit: nvm I got it. Watchman mission unlocks after you get sent back to Edo in the story. I think you explained but I didn’t understand. Also: for anyone looking for the blue demon after he’s an ally he’s at the ninja villa dojo but you have to go through a hole in the roof of the dojo to find him
You have to find him at the sawamura dojo, if you go in the dojo he'll be in an upstairs section and you can talk to him and get him as a companion and train with him
Is it possible that Gikei Ryu is underpowered? The parry is very hard to time and uses a lot of stamina as punishment. Also it has a red arrow against every stance(meaning its weak to all stances). And over all damage is low due to that too. And this is at master level. Im honestly very disappointed because I thought it would be the best(and it looks awesome).😢
i didnt read comments first lol and spared him first which is what was said to do first and the comments say kill him first so i assume im boned on getting the fighting style 😂 until the end of the game
@@jfrazier6871so i spared him first. So you saying go back n kill him, do i than have to go back n spare him again because that will shift the story back to original sparing him?
You left so many loops in this guide this is a really bad guide dawg I got y’all tho You can’t do the quest till you level 44 and get back from Kyoto, after you do the mission spar with him first in the ninja dojo then he will show up, he won’t immediately be on the roof🤦🏾♂️
So my okay, on my play through I didn’t spare him, but I went back and spared him, made it so my time line reflected it, but I can’t replay “the watchman mission” am I doing something wrong or maybe just screwed and have to play the whole game over again?
