I heard that if the movie does well they'll continue the series they didn't say anything about a sequel but I think this movie is so good that IT DESERVES A SEQUEL!!!!!
@@maxthebearshor I wouldn't mind it if they inked a deal with Netflix and did a couple more movies. You can tell that they had way more creative freedom with this project.
the fun bits about this movie is the behind the scene's storyboards and stuff left out like what Ralph sees when under the Krang's control is he's family disformed as Krang Zombies and some of the designs are pretty wild! not to mention the ending originally planned with Casey living the group to explore a not-so-destroyed world. sad it wasn't in the final product but happy it was atleast storyboarded and shown.
People didn’t like Rise Splinter cause he’s so different from the tall and wise Splinter but I really like this version cause he gets character development and has a deeper connection to his sons Idk I’m not writing an essay I just love this series a lot
I agree. Also, you’d think after getting transformed into a rat, a person would definitely have some trauma. I like that this series shows how Splinter can be a great dad/fighter, but also have some personal problems.
PLEASE do a reaction on the ROTTMNT series!!!! You will not be disappointed! Especially when you reach the finale of the 1st season and then watch the 2nd!!! Btw I LOVED your reaction on the movie and I'm really hoping that the show will get it's DESERVED 3rd season ^^
I love this version so much, both because of how unique in the characters they took (Raphael was the leader bc he was the oldest of them, Leo and Donnie are about the same age so they're 'twins', and Mikey the youngest of course), plus I just love this version of Donnie bc he's the only variant who actually utilized the most of his tech on himself plus he's a confident nerd as compared to the usual quiet braniac trope and it's quite fun to watch! But the animation, the voice acting and storytelling really hit it on the head! Fight choreography is amazing and their themes of family and brotherhood is so strong, and I think this is a theme that's supposed to be represented with the turtles but hardly gets highlighted in order to focus more on the ninja aspect in the general formula. I really hope they can bring it back I want more of this animation!
@@WeAINTseenITREACTIONS yes! Also forgot to say thank you for reacting to the movie! I've been trying to find reactions for this movie but hardly anyone will give it the chance, and it was fun to see both your guys' reactions!
@@nikecoro2606 No problem. Thanks for taking time outta your day to watch us. We plan on reacting to more TMNT related shows and movies. Our TMNT 2012 reactions will be up on RU-vid in the near futre ;)
@@WeAINTseenITREACTIONS Hey! Do you plan on reviewing the whole Rise series someday? (Sorry if you already talked about that, my english isn't very good so I might have missed out something you said)
To be honest rise of the tmnt Is my favorite version , it is fresh and new and got a great character development. In the movie it’s about Leo learning to become the leader we know.
Yeah its really daring in the creative department. I love how it focuses on that family dynamic and allowing to grow into the characters we know. As opposed to just starting them off that way. Hopefully another season or movie gets greenlit.
Yo, them showing blood and slightly swearing shocked me when watching this. Even though there wasn’t that much, it really shows the tone that the movie was trying to portray, Shit is going down even if it’s a cartoon. W movie
I think the turtles kinda needed a change.. don’t get me wrong the og formula is great but every so often a little change here and there can make it more interesting.
sad fact: at the near beginning of this movie (4:20 on this video) you can actually see that April is dead. you can see an arm, her ponytail up and her broken baseball bat near the middle and middle right of the screen. there's also a kind of villain, Big Mama, as well who is dead to the left. she's the big spider looking creature cause she's a Spider Yokai.
Bro that means she died recently. Cuz her body would’ve been bones if she died in the beginning. Considering her body is just sitting there, I’m guessing she went missing and they never found her body. But that aside, this means that April held on till the very end, that’s how you know she’s badass
Fun fact: writers and animators of 2012 series created Rise of the TMNT. As a result they wanted to created a show that was different so it didn’t feel like they were doing the same thing all over again
People always treat each tmnt reboot as the same thing when their all very different shows and the turtles in it are different characters 2012 Leo and 2018 Leo are two different characters , rise Leo doesn’t have to follow where 2012 Leo left off because it’s not his story. Their different versions on the same idea
@@WeAINTseenITREACTIONS I’ll admit I grew up with the 2012 ones so I was also kinda hesitant on the rise turtles. I started it back in October and then took a break and finished season 2 now (including the movie) I was pretty much done with season 2 as I only had the finale to watch. I wish I watched it sooner but better late than never. I hope Nick gives rise another chance especially considering how great the movie’s doing
Lol I swear this movie is so selfaware and subtle. I love how it shows us that Leo ultimately becomes what we want him to be at the beginning of the film.
53:40 "I was about to crack some tears." For the season two four part finale of the series, I legit started to tear up. Trust me, it IS worth it. Like I and others have said, while the episodic filler is a bit hit or miss, they go by pretty fast, and come the 12th / 13th episode it really shifts gear. The midseason one special is absolutely on point.
I highly recommend checking out the series; rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles is an incredibly fun show and although it is very different from iterations of the turtles, it is honestly one of my favorite shows period. The characters have a natural chemistry, the unique plotline is gripping, the humor is fun, and the animation is GORGEOUS. I also just love how much of a genuine family these guys are; you can really tell with every second of the show that the people working on it put their whole hearts into what they were creating.
Honestly, I love this version of the turtles. Yeah, I love the 03, 12, and the old school. But I find this show charming. The chemistry between the bros seems more genuine, I will admit I was not happy with Splinter in the beginning but my god… you gotta see his story in this series! There is so much growth for all the turtles. The personality of the turtles are to me the same as their other counter parts but portrayed differently. Leo as you seen is still arrogant, doesn’t work well with others, know it all. Raph is still hot blooded and angers easily and Raph has always been passionate this time he shows everything on his sleeves instead of bottling his emotions up. Mikey is more than just the party dude now, he is more thoughtful, playful and isn’t treated like a complete idiot like he does in the other series (more notably in the 03 and 12 versions) Donnie is more sarcastic and eccentric than just being the Sciency nerd. This version of April is the fucking goat! No offense to the other Aprils but ROTTMNT is seriously the best. I honestly stopped watching the 12 version because of the April in that series, the show lost me with their version after it came out she wasn’t all “human”. Just this version of the TMNT and I wish they could have explored this version more.
this is exactly what i needed to see tonight thank you guys for the great video! an additional thought i had was how great and solid the voice acting was in the movie every serious moment was perfectly sold by each actor
by the way the thing where they sounded off "Teenage. Mutant. Ninja. Turtles!" Is a joke from the show because they go through the whole thing mispronouncing it. "We are the teenage mutants who are also turtle.. ninjas" or some shit lmao
Nah if you watch the series spoiler there blood brothers because they all share the same human dna from splinter when they got mutated from him. Meaning their all biological related and splinter is really their father
Couldn't let us find that out on our own could ya? It's cool. I guess that corrects my initial assumption. But I would've rather the show did when we reacted to it. But we'll probably just watch it on our own personal time since you guys can't resist 😁
@@WeAINTseenITREACTIONS oh sorry I thought you guys were just reviewing the the movie and not going to check the show sorry. But hey there’s still lot more cool stuff that will blow your mind when you watch it.
@@WeAINTseenITREACTIONSit isn't random guy's fault he wanted to share a fact about the show with you, and don't hold out on us with a reaction just because he told you it's a fact you got wrong and he wanted to correct. Hell i was gonna comment the same thing so don't make this guy feel bad about himself for telling you they're actually brothers, he didn't actually spoil anything for you.
When I initially saw the promotional image of this version of the turtles I was turned off. I gave the show a chance and I ended up watching every episode. I even bought the seasons on RU-vid.
Yup the promotional image didn't do it any favors. Especially since people didn't know what they'd be getting in terms of action. That's why its always better to see things in motion to get a better idea of what a series is going for.
I loved this film! I know it felt rushed in some areas but then one of the animators clarified that some of it had to do with budget and frames and they used most of it, that they “couldn’t spare an extra 2min or 2sec”. But man did this film deliver 🙌🔥
Mikey is awesome and incredibly talented, agreed. But in the iterations where he's the last standing brother (and there's several- it's basically canon, now), my impression was that it wasn't really about him surviving because he was stronger than his brothers. It was more of a reflection of the fact that he's basically the most emotionally-stable, positive, friendly one of the bunch, and that's what allows him to not only endure the terrible loss of his family, but even open his heart to new loved ones and find happiness. I honestly can't imagine Leo, Raph or Donnie being able to recover and move on in a healthy way in the same situation. Mikey is a special one, alright.
We NEED a Season 3. Lots of questions got unanswered after the movie. Give the Rise Of The TMNT show and the movie a chance on Netflix. Supposedly if it gets it’s numbers up in ratings before September 1st we MIGHT get a Season 3. Help spread the show on social media! Keep watching the movie and tweeting about it on Social Media. Let’s help the creators out and show them how much we love the show! Make sure after you watch the movie to give it a thumbs up on Netflix. Let them know how much you care and support the movie and series!
@@WeAINTseenITREACTIONS you should ! It’s so good! Or you can try and watch only the 22min episodes that aren’t 11min because those ones are more heavy on plot
At first when I watched the series I was mad that they made rottmnt Raph the leader, but overtime I started to get used to it and realize, the other version of Raph was also mad and serious. So it makes since for rottmnt Raph to be the leader because he’s cautious and loves his brothers no madder how mad he is.
I would love to see you guys react to the TMNT Rise series. I wasnt sure going into it myself but its become my favorite TMNT series of all time and now I am a huge fan of it. One of the best TMNT storys ever.
Yesss please give a chance to the tv show💗 It develops as it progress so at the start it's more light hearted and as it goes it starts to get more dark and serious (always with some comedy bc it's the nature of the show), it's a refreshing version of the turtles and at first I was recluctant to the changes but it ended up being my fav itinerary of tmnt :)
Deadass The Rottmnt is S L E P T O N OMG the- I- let me make a list really quick Animation-Godly Voice acting- AMAZING, FUNNY, HEARD PERSONALITY IN EVERY WORD. Fight choreography- EYE CANDY Character Design- Clever as hell Duos, Trios, And Groups?- entertaining, dont lie you want more disaster twins Plot Connection- ITS THERE IT MENTIONS PAST EPISODES Badassery- Over 9000% Im over dramatic but… Its the truth man.
Like me, I didn't give this series a chance, and in one sitting, I ate both seasons in one week, IT'S GREAT. You have to see it, you won't regret it. This series deserves to come back, it has to come back, we have to make it more popular, people, recommend this beautiful series to everyone you know. Maybe then Rise Of The TMNT could come back.
I love the 2018-2022 version of the tmnt. I love how different they all are, and how well represented Donnie's autism is. it's an amazing show and movie, and I'm happy with the changes of personality the creators made for the characters, and the change in designs to make each character feel like their own
Would LOVE to see you do a reaction series for ROTTMNT in general, more than just the movie Ive only been able to watch the first season, but my god: it gets better the more you watch, it's awesome. Also, be patient with Splinter, he's quite possibly the most complex character in the entirety of Rise
(Just started the reaction) "We can't always be reacting to anime so we are reacting too" Oh if you like anime then you will be right at home with this movie and this version of the series. It's basically TMNT meets anime 4th wall breaking and everything
i think Leo's development come from the ending of Season 2 (praying there's a Season 3 though~) since not only did they beat the Shredder, who in this universe's events is actually a evil suit of armor possessing one of the Turtles very distant relatives from many many years ago, which looking back at where they got the armor and how it acts clearly shows the Krang had something to with it more than ever, but he became the new leader of the team due to Splinter seeing he's potential. so Leo's cockiness in this movie stems from a lot of variables that are shot down after the Krang return and though the boost from Casey gassing him up with stories and labeling him "The World's Greatest Ninja" isn't helping, he does later confess it's rough being the leader that Ralph was trying to teach him. This movie does a great justice for this version of Leo since most Leo's just have to deal with their brothers not working together, not just getting the position of power and just rolling with it. it's a nice change of pace.
Definitely try the TV show! It’s funny, fun, full of mind blowing action, and has some of the best character development. Even characters like Splinter and April get some great development in the series
Ik u probably don't need to know but nickelodeon told the people who worked on this movie to not add in characters like Barry or big mama to confuse newer people only watching the movie and not the show. Buttt one of the people who worked on the movie said they liked to imagine Barry was at his school protecting the school from the kraang, so yeah he was busy saving a bunch of kids in a way :D
I really loved your reaction!! My fav version of tmnt was the 2003 version, but since rottmnt this has been my fav ninja turtles version! Leo has always been my fave, but rise Leo? He is so cool! Also they act like teenagers for once which is very refreshing. Also their story is how they become the tmnt and rise to be real heroes! I would love to watch you react to the whole series !! The first episodes of S1 are more goofy but is because they are introducing a lot of characters, after that it gets better! Also they said if the movie does really good they might make S3!!
Little hint I think is definitely worth pointing out for improving of the video quality. This is the first video I watch of you and I always watch videos with subtitles and yours are really useful, but once I turn them on the lady of the video is almost entirely covered up.
I love how in this one the Krang are MEAN. I mean they've been Krang Singular, they've been Utrom Krang which are just regular aliens, they've been Jackass Krang who needed to have about ten million of them to be a threat... but in Rise, they are some MEAN mofos.
ROTTMNT is my second favorite iteration of the turtles, I love them, and based on your reaction to this movie I think you would like the show especially when it starts getting into things. You should definitely give it a shot. ❤️💜💙🧡💛💚
They need to make Rise of Tmnt: Director Cut with all of the original storyboard scenes fully animated by Flying Bark. That would be a true send off in my opinion.
17:02 yes Splinter went with them also April with them what is a teenager going to do? if I were there then I would probably die and I'm only 13 well in this movie April went to college but still she's young
please react to this! This show is definitely different from the 2012 show, but in SUCH a good way. I love 2012, always, but this show is so good in its own way too. It feels like its own story instead of the same tent arc over and over BUT it also feels like the same thing. It's new, but not. Donnie is the best in it imo lol
@@WeAINTseenITREACTIONS Fair! But yeah all this animation studios 2D works are fantastic. They really know how to animate fights. I recommend checking out Lego: Monkie Kid which also got animated by this studio. It’s a bit hard to find in the US sadly. I know it’s on prime video tho.
32:24 Technically, “this” isn’t the reason future-Raph wasn’t mentioned. This is already a changed future because of Casey. In the future-opening, Leo has Raph’s arm on him. At some point in that future, Leo _lost_ that arm, Raph gave his to replace it, _and_ also went down at some point (probably alongside Donny) before we see Mikey and Leo’s last stand.
Rise is my favourite version of the TMNT. I grew up with and loved 03 TMNT, which is more canon to the original comic, but still Rise is my vibe. I have enjoyed the 87, 03, 12, the 07 movie, the Batman vs TMNT movie-but still Rise, for me, just hit me in a way that the other versions didn't. I adore the TV series and thought the movie was beyond amazing. I'm gutted that Rise got cut so soon. I really do think if people had put their 'but it's so different' grudge to one side and given Rise a proper look as it's own, completely new take, unique show, then they would have realised how amazing it was. Instead we got 'but Leo isn't the leader so i'm not watching it', or 'but Splinter is too different', without actually trying the show and giving it a chance. Let's hope that in the future the studio decides to give us more of Rise. This series deserves it. ❤💙💜🧡
||Spoiler for the series|| If you're wondering where Donnie gets all the resources for his tech: Back when Master Splinter was a human, he was known as an action star Lou Jitsu, so guessing with all the money he got as a past star and his brand(s?) still selling, that's where they got the money, my thoughts to how they got probably the most cozy lair
There's also the fact that Donnie does, less than legal things as well. Like he steal some money from ATMs, steal tech, sold said stolen techs. Dudes not exactly ethical
