The beautiful Accuphase E-800 Class A integrated amplifier driving the TAD R1 mk2 Reference speakers.
Only 50 watts, not enough for the TAD R1, but with high quality on medium high range of frequencies. Lack of energy and body in this particular configuration.

Wow. What a system. I had ME-1s and thought they were impressive. Of course these are in a class of their own. Arguably a class leader. Congrats and enjoy in good health.

Viola Cadenza and Symphony. The Accuphase is only for test but I don’t like it. You can se other videos in my channel

L'E-800 è un ampli superlativo, ma qui stiamo parlando di pilotare diffusori da 150k € (!!) con un ampli da 20k € e soprattutto con soli 50 w. Le TAD esigono ben altro.

Depending on audiophile and marketing rules yes. But TAD are so well made that they make the job easier for the amp. What is missing here ? Your satisfaction maybe. 50 watts A class for this room is perfect

Ciao Stefano, sarebbe una valutazione poco attendibile e non renderebbe piena giustizia al E-800 che, in abbinamento con le grandi TAD R1, non ha performato come ci si aspetterebbe da un top di gamma. Il suono risultava "povero" agli estremi gamma, senza il giusto sostegno e con insufficiente contenuto armonico. Con altri diffusori immagino che il risultato possa essere molto diverso, nonostante il suono Accuphase non sia proprio nelle mie corde.
