The Accuphase E 700 Integrated amplifier. Better than the E-650? 

Well on the AD-50 those setting are set manually via dip switches. No way to change them without removing the card entirely.

That’s the E-650, it just looks taller because the shelf it is on is slightly higher up.

My experience on older generation accuphase is that it will depend on your taste. In general, class A amplifiers tend to sweeten the highs and have less control on the bass woofers (normal, they have less power overall). This tend to give you a less agressive sound with a slightly kinder dynamic. If you are somebody that likes that, you will be good. For myself, I selected indie/rock compatible speakers first that where performing well in my room, then choose to use a class AB amplifiers for more balanced/neutral and powerful dynamic abilities. I was already using class H amplifier in my studio monitor setup.

Absolutely we use Accuphase amps to play Pop and Rock all the time and they do a stunning job.

Wait. Are you suggesting that Accuphase products have a burn-in time ? Meaning that the value of their electronic components shift over time. It would be a total loss of reputation for Accuphase.

@@boboutelama5748 In ny experience, they do. I have noticed it with other brads also and I would be surprised if it's something that would damage a manufacturer's reputation.

At this point he is just making assumptions that the 650 could not do that. An actual testing would be better.

Compared to E-650 the E-800 sounds boring

I expect more bass from 50W so I’m confused now 😮
